It's going to be a very special weekend for the Cambridges with several occasions to celebrate. On Sunday, 21 June, Prince William celebrates his 33rd birthday, and it's also Father's Day and Kate's parents' 35th wedding anniversary. On top of that, Michael Middleton's birthday is on Tuesday.
Last year, the family gathered at Anmer Hall for a private celebration. One imagines they'll do something similar this year - either at Anmer or Bucklebury. William and Kate enjoy low-key family dinners and no doubt the entire group will have fun spending time with George and Charlotte too.

More from People's story:
'And William’s Father’s Day will be twice as special now that he’s a dad of two. There is no word from the palace on how William is celebrating his birthday and Father's Day, beyond that it will be spent "privately."
His presents are likely to remain a secret, but wife Kate, 33, will surely involve Prince George in the preparations. She talked about the little royal’s budding artistic streak when she revealed that she’s been painting with George, so dad could have a few homemade cards in store for him!'
Also, the Royal Mint announced they will issue a range of commemorative coins to mark the christening of Princess Charlotte on 5 July. William and Kate will participate in choosing the design of the coins.

For those asking about Kate's next appearance, I understand it will be Princess Charlotte's christening and there's the possibility of a Wimbledon appearance or two shortly after that :)

What better way to relax on a Friday evening than with a look at gorgeous designs? Roland Mouret can always be relied upon to excel at creating feminine, sophisticated, elegant designs.

For his Resort 2016 offering he focused on draping. "To be the master of draping. You have to be a slave to the fabric." he said. Inspired by Italian women and the way they move the collection has been described as "less fitted, more free". I particularly enjoyed seeing the shades of green used.

I'm somewhat surprised we haven't seen the Duchess in more of Mr Mouret's pieces considering the two successfully collaborated on the divine Ella dress Kate wore twice. The gown remains available in limited sizing at Net-A-Porter, and I wouldn't rule out seeing Kate wear it again.
Current styles available from the designer offer a multitude of possibilities for the Duchess, particularly for receptions and black-tie events. Below we see the black and white crepe Lilyvick One-Shoulder Gown, the Gazella Twist-Front Silk Gown, the strapless Calcott Wool-Crepe Gown and the Mirah Fishtail Gown.

A selection of fitted, knee-length dresses would make stylish choices for engagements. The Afyon Dress has carefully placed darts to flatter and streamline your silhouette. We also see the Gabelle LBD, the Sesia Wool-Crepe Dress (currently reduced by 30%) and the Nepa Dress.

The king of prints, Erdem Moralıoğlu, didn't disappoint with his Resort 2016 Collection. Inspired by Victorian details such as high collars and white lace bibs, details from the swinging '60's were in there too. He described his inspiration as akin to "the way that certain decades look at other eras, the 1960's looking at Victoriana, or the '70's looking at the '20's".

There's plenty of potential in the collection for Kate in terms of floral prints and silhouettes we may see implemented for bespoke coat dresses, day-wear dresses and evening gowns.

Spring/Summer pieces from the designer are equally promising. The Evita Printed Dress is a stunning piece featuring red, lilac and pastel-yellow floral print. We also take a look at the Loreen Printed Silk Dress adorned with cream and cobalt blue flowers.

ReplyDeleteI would wear these with my beige slede pumps and beige Reiss Shola bandage dress when I go 2 Venice this summer :-)
ReplyDeleteTotally in love with Kate's style!! Greatings from Belgium X

ReplyDeleteHey they're Kate's earrings!! I'd actually wear them anywhere, with anything, announcing to everyone I know that these are the Duchess of Cambridge's exact earrings! Who wouldn't want to brag?! :) I also commented, liked and followed Mirabelle on their social media channels. :) Crossing my fingers!!
ReplyDeleteDate night dress with the hubby. I have 2 entries.
ReplyDeleteI would wear these with my deep garnet cowl neck dress or with a black blazer, white shirt and black pants.

ReplyDeleteI just got a super-cute black and white print dress and these earrings would be the perfect addition! I also followed on Twitter and liked the Facebook page - thank you!
ReplyDeleteCharlotte, did Mr. Mourner collaborate
ReplyDeletewith Kate on the Ella dress? Was that a bespoke piece?
Hello!
DeleteYes they worked together on it, the gown is based on the Lombard gown and with a few modifications the Ella was created. Here is a quote from Roland Mouret:
‘She’s a fantastic person to work with. She’s a woman of her time,’
‘She’s very aware of her position and she’s a really nice person. She’s human. It’s really nice to work with someone in her position. It’s…historic, yes.’
I’d wear them with my new brown dress with a gold belt.
ReplyDeleteI would wear it with my navy lace dress, which I bought because it reminded me of the one Kate wore on her Canada tour.
ReplyDeleteI liked the page on FB and posted about it - 3 entries
I would wear these chic earrings with just about everything! I love gold accessories, so these would be perfect. Specifically, they'd look great with my all-black ensembles/dresses.
ReplyDeleteI loved this post! I realized, looking through all the beautiful selections, that I'm drawn to black and white combos, as that was what I chose for favorites each time. I even popped over to the Net-a-Porter site and browsed (and I'm not a designer shopper). It's amazing to me that there were some things (swimsuits) that, on sale, were the same price as swimsuits you'd find almost anywhere. And you get a designer's name to boot!
ReplyDeleteWow, Kate's probably been busy looking for the perfect gifts for William, her dad, Father's Day, etc. Even if/though she has assistants, it's still up to her to choose the "perfect" things for them, which I think takes a lot of creativity when the gift receiver already has access to almost anything they could want.
I've always wondered what on earth you gift to someone that has everything.. Or as you said, access to anything.
DeleteI would wear this with my yellow Zimmerman cocktail dress and stuart weitzman heels! Honestly, I'd wear these earrings with almost any outfit though! I have two entries (comment/like). Thanks! Stef
ReplyDeleteI would love to wear those gorgeous earrings with a pretty brown dress I have, which looks a lot like the one Kate wore with the earrings.
ReplyDeleteI am already following on Twitter, and had retweeted about the giveaway. In total - 3 entries :)
Thank you soo much Charlotte, for this awesome giveaway and all the hard work!!!!!!!
I would wear the Lolita earrings with a black cocktail dress and pumps, perfect for a night out!
ReplyDeleteBeulah London collection looks like something every woman’s closet should keep. Yes including the blush and powder blue color and the cut according to the person’s shape (something to have). No comment on the aqua evening gown.
ReplyDeleteErdem round 1 recalls some past refreshed, brilliantly.
Erdem round 2: In a row- the flower dress against black background dress seems to be in style currently. The one in the middle is a nice classic, but the color stands out vibrantly/decent cut. The third reminds me of some movies on Europe of mid-1940s.
Net a Porter round 1: no comment
Net a porter round 2 are classic with nice choice of the shoulder details and the knee length is decent. (Something to have)
Net a Porter round 3: no comment
Net a porter round 4: The first/mid length and third white lace top, something to have for season changes and totally different occasions (Both something to have). The fourth one is artistic and nice.
Net a porter last round: No comment
Hi Charlotte: Great post. A quick question from "across the pond." Mothering Sunday (UK) and Mother's Day (US) are held on different dates, but it looks like Father's Day is the same. Is this always the case?
ReplyDeleteFather's Day in England was the same as in America last year, so I would guess yes it is always the same.
DeleteI would wear them to my engagement party!
ReplyDeleteNot thinking my earlier post went through..I adore this page/blog spot. Thank you to Charlotte for all your hard work with updates, research and opportunities for giveways! I would have 3 entries with this post/ following the Mirrabelle jewelry page and also the retweet! Brenda from Minnesota
ReplyDeleteI have 4 entries. And I LOVE your blog!!
ReplyDeleteI would wear these earrings with my favorite navy dress and nude heels!
ReplyDeleteI liked the fbook and followed the twitter pages for three entries total. Thanks!
They would look great w/ just about everything! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAndrea from Oregon
Ohhh I loved these earrings, I've looked for similar ones as, to me, the 3 rings represent my little family of 3 :)
ReplyDeleteI would wear them on my first night out with my husband since 2013! (a wedding in a few months) and plan my dress around it. Other than that, whenever I could, to feel like a princess!
Louise aka tired Aussie - one & only entry
I would wear them every day!! GG
ReplyDeleteI would wear them with the green bridesmaids dress for the wedding I'm in....and then I'd wear them with anything! :)
ReplyDeleteI would wear them with a white skirt and black top.
ReplyDeleteI seem to have quite a collection of shirtdresses building up in my closer. I think the earrings are (like you said Charlotte) a great day-to-night piece and would go great with those dresses. I just bought a lilac coloured one today... maybe I'll have new earrings to wear with it ;)
ReplyDeleteI entered here, lIke Mirabelle on FB and shared about the contest on my social media. Fingers crossed!
I will wear them with tiered, loose mid or maxi skirt to open air events in the summer (they remind me of part of Olympic symbol). They can be versatile from wearing them with classic dresses to using them to accessorize large dress neck scarfs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this contest! I think those earrings could be worn lots of ways- with a fun off the shoulder top with skinny jeans and heels, with a pencil skirt and top, or with a dress- making sure to always have the hat up or half back to really show the earrings off. They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAmazing post as always! Thank you for all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteIf I had those beautiful earrings I would wear it with my favorite v-neck, cap sleeve, zig-zag pattern dress with my black flats.
I would wear those beautiful earrings with my v-neck, cap sleeve, zig-zag pattern dress with my black flats.

I think that this beautiful Lolita earrings will make a good set with summer white lace dress and nude wedges sandals. I'm going to prepare in a few weeks a great garden party with whole family - it's birthday of my mom, of my aunt and 25th wedding anniversary of my aunt and uncle. It's an amazing holiday for a family and I think it's great opportunity to wear such a jewelry, it makes any outfit special and festive.
ReplyDeleteI follow Mirabelle on Twitter and like the Facebook page.
And also I retweeted the giveaway on my Twitter :)
DeleteI would definitely wear my Lolita earrings with my black Zara top, blue jeans and sexy black sandals! I liked her facebook page, shared on my facebook page and left this comment so that is three in a row :-). Kensington Palace tweeted the most stunning photo of Charles and his two sons! Happy Father's day to all! From South African. Lize

ReplyDeleteIf my comment appears twice, apologies - but I don't think it took the first time. I would wear the lovely Mirabelle Lolita's with my black Alfani cap sleeve gold zipper top, my black pencil skirt with a full gold zipper up the back and my Yosi Samra gold and cork ballerina flats. They would be the perfect complement to this outfit. I shared on my FB page, liked Mirabelle on Twitter and FB and commented here. So four entries for me. YAY! :-)

I am addicted to all things Kate and the Duchess Kate Blog is by far the best! There are tons of photos- and the blog focuses on her fashions. Identifying the shoes she wears, jewelry--it's fun. OK, so I seem like a stalker, I know. Anyway...just thought I'd share.
I'd wear them when going out, probably with a plain black dress. I've followed them on twitter, facebook, and posted about the contest on twitter (@themonarchist_)
ReplyDeleteI would wear these gorgeous earrings with a variety of outfits including a simple and sophisticated maybe black dinner outfit or a causal date night ensemble and even to an elegant party with a beautiful dress
ReplyDeleteI'd wear the Lolita earrings with my sleeveless white button down (it has gold buttons that would match perfectly!) and tan capri pants. I have followed Mirabelle Jewellery on Twitter, liked the page on Facebook, and retweeted the give-away on my Twitter.
ReplyDeleteI would wear them with my brown tweed blazer for work, and with a great red dress for a nice dinner out. I have three entries :) Thanks for running the contest!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice surprise! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! I would wear them with jeans and a sweater to dress up the look. I'm a college student in Texas (University in the UK?) without out many opportunities to look glamorous, though these earrings would look amazing with a wrap dress. I Liked on Facebook, Followed on Twitter, and posted to my Twitter and Facebook about the contest.
ReplyDeleteHi Charlotte!

Thank you so much for your hard work!!

wow! June seems to be the Month of Cambridges!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your posts as they are adorned with beautiful images of cambridge family. Since I have started following your blog I never felt the need to check other sites. Once my sister called me asking "hey what is the blog you keep checking on every other day to know the latest about Kate." Other sources seems crappy and insufficient to us as you provide complete input from style to substance of this Diva's life.
If I happen to win these, i am going to wear them with this ethnic kurti, i am planning on to buy for our next get together. t i am sure these gorgeous earrings are going to enhance the evening look.

A wonderful weekend of celebrations! I hope it was a lovely time for everyone. Happy Birthday to Prince William Happy Anniversary to the Middletons. Father's Day is always a special time, but I'm sure even more so for the Cambridges since it fell on William's birthday. There's so much to celebrate being blessed with a beautiful family and two beautiful children. Wonder what they gave their daddy on his day? Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
ReplyDeleteThere were so great potential looks for Kate in the fashion pieces above. I really like some of the Mouret pieces and the Beulah Porcelain Gown. Kate would look stunning in the gown! I'm looking forward to seeing what she wears for Charlotte's christening. :)

ReplyDeleteTo all German readers:
ReplyDeleteThere is a royal special on VOX tonight. First, the Queen movie starring Helen Mirren (20:15 GMT Berlin) and then a new documentary called "Kate - the new Queen" (22:15 GMT Berlin).
In one photo the protection officer walked in front of them. But I do think George is close to both sets of grandparents. Hello had a story that Charles and George planted 2 trees together in Highgrove
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joanna! I did notice that after I posted. Only a protection officer would be permitted to stand that close to Carole and George.
DeleteI would probably mainly be wearing them with my work functions, but also a few nights out here and there once we find the babysitter for our baby!
ReplyDeleteI would mostly wear for my work events, but hopefully add in a few nights out (if I can get sitter for the baby!)
