Kate and Harry arrived together.
Prince William who acted as usher arrived separately.
William, Kate and Harry were all smiles at the church and waved :)
The royal trio arrived in snowy Arosa yesterday where the princes enjoyed some skiing while Kate was seen laughing and chatting with friends Harry and Rosie Meade who brought their adorable daughter Lily along. The groom Mark Tomlinson has played polo with the princes for years and his parents, Simon and Claire, are close friends of Prince Charles. After finishing school Harry spent time at the Tomlinson's ranch in Argentina, so there is certainly a close friendship there and no doubt William and Harry were eager to support Mark on his big day.
The bride is Olympian dressage rider Laura Bechtolscheimer, granddaughter of billionaire Karl-Heinz Kipp. It's been quite a year for Laura who won team gold and individual bronze at London 2012, with Mark proposing three weeks later. Laura and Mark were guests at the royal wedding in 2011.
The bride shared her excitement via twitter on Tuesday before travelling to Switzerland.

The couple exchanged vows in front of 250 guests at the Evangelische Kirche in Arosa. The bride opted for a Bruce Oldfield creation, the British designer is best known for his couture occasionwear and has designed for Princess Diana, Queen Noor of Jordan and Queen Rania of Jordan.
I expect the reception could possibly be held at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa, which is owned by the bride's grandfather, the aforementioned Karl-Heinz Kipp. The family purchased the luxurious hotel in 1980, and in whose ownership it remains to this day. In 2009, the Tschuggen Express, the hotel's very own mountain railway, went into operation. At the touch of a button the two cabins of the express take twelve guests directly to the skiing and hiking area.

The Duchess elected to wear a cream coat (It photographs as pale pink but a lady who was in Arosa kindly shared it is in fact cream and the buttons looked fake) and the animal print MaxMara dress she wore in Cambridge. I would love to see the dress without the coat as I think the print would look terrific with Kate's colouring.
Kate's MaxMara dress.
Kate recycled the brown James Lock & Co "Betty Boop" hat she wore on St Patrick's Day 2012. The £245 hat was a perfect choice for the conditions and Kate coordinated with a brown scarf.

The eagle eyed Anna pointed out Kate wore her Annoushka pearls with Kiki McDonough hoops.
Kate's sartorial choices were less formal than we're used to seeing her choose for weddings. I thought the pale pink coat worked very well with the brown hat, scarf and clutch. It was an understated look for the Duchess who is roughly half way through her pregnancy, appropriate for the cold conditions yet stylish. The Duchess has a wonderful collection of coats and the pale pink is another stellar addition. Kate completed the look with her brown Emmy suede shoes and matching clutch.

The royals appeared to have a wonderful time at the wedding. Kate will carry out a series of engagements in Grimsby on Tuesday. Unless there's another surprise appearance I'll see you all then! We'll finish today's post with a lovely shot of the Cambridges :)
Is that the hat she wore for that ...was it the Scottish guard ceremony??
ReplyDeleteLove her look.
Actually I think it was the Irish guard. sorry, I'm not British :)
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely! I so enjoy your blog - thank you for all that you do!
ReplyDeleteI think Kate looked fantastic and I am thrilled she is feeling better. I like when she wears her hair back too, but I keep hoping she will forego the deep toned eye shadow.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see her without the coat!
I think she looks beautiful! I noticed she didn't have the upside down belt on with the coat as she did in Cambridge. :) She's at the in between stage where she can still fit into her loose clothing and doesn't necessary need maternity wear. Again, I think she looks very classy and beautiful! I will check back later for more pics! Wonderful job Charlotte!
ReplyDeleteI am corralling children and trying to check for updates...LOL!!! Wanted to add that I LOVE her hair with the gentle curl at the end!
Deletelooks like a beautiful wedding! Catherine looks stunning, as usual!!
ReplyDeleteThis isn't the coat Kate wore in Cambridge I dont think, this one has buttons & different pockets. I absolutely love this look though, Kate looks lovely in brown & I'm happy to see she recycled that hat. I also noticed that she is wearing that gold ring on her middle finger again. I'm beginning to think it really is for her pregnancy, and I think Kate would do something like that.
ReplyDelete-Brit
I may be wrong, but I think she wore this ring quite a bit during the first few years of their relationship. (And she would alternate between her right and left hand.) I wish I could find a close-up! LOL.
DeleteI'm thinking that she's wearing the ring again because she has gained weight with the pregnancy and she's back to a similar weight that she was when she was wearing the ring last, and she's able to wear it without it slipping off. I know as my weight fluctuates, so does the size of my fingers...
DeleteThe photos are fantastic, especially the first one where we can see Wills and Kate, all smiles. They are all so smart and Kate is particularly lovely and classy.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Charlotte! YOU ARE THE BEST!
Happy weekend to all!
I wonder if she did her own hair? Love the idea to coordinate the rich dark brown with the pale pink, got to copy that! I love Kate for giving me fashion ideas. I just don`t like the dress, at least not on the model. It looks so old and frumpy. I wonder how it looks on Kate.
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess has a beautiful hairstyle! She is very talented if she made it by her own.
DeleteIs it the coat she wore in Cambridge? It seems to have a (faux?) fur collar or perhaps it's a tippet.
ReplyDeleteI think she looked lovely and very elegant. I do like the half up hairstyle, particularly with the hat.
The bride looked well wrapped up--but then she would have to be in an open carriage, in Switzerland at this time of the year.
I look forward to Tuesday and her day in Grimsby.
They both look fantastic, only a scrooge can begrudge this couple the right to attend a close friend's wedding. Seriously people grow up!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous- I totally agree with you.
DeleteEXACTLY! Agree 100%
DeleteThank you Charlotte again for a great post. I just loved seeing this beautiful couple together. They look so happy and the Duchess looked just stunning. Love the pink & brown together.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until Tuesday.
Kate looked lovely. I love the coat! They both look so happy...and happy for their friends
ReplyDeleteI love the brides cozy winter wedding look..
My comment seemed to get chewed up---must have pressed a wrong button.
ReplyDeleteLovely and elegant--I think the half-up hair style suits her really well, particularly with the hat. The coat seems to have a (faux?)fur collar--or maybe it's a tippet.
The bride looks well wrapped up--but she would need to be in Switzerland at this time of the year.
Sorry Charlotte--it obviously didn't get chewed up.
DeleteJust plain gorgeous !! The Duchess hit it spot on this time. Just perfect. I love the coat, the dress, the colours. And I love the way Prince William is dressed for the wedding : so British and elegant.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so happy and relaxed. Cheers me up no end in this dismal winter in grey Paris ;-)
Hello there, great blog, you do a wonderful job Charlotte. Just wanted to make a small correction - the bride's grandfather is German, not Greek.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your wonderful posts - I really enjoy them.
The article where the Swiss press say they are staying. Beautiful.
ReplyDeletehttp://en.tschuggen.ch/top/photo-gallery/
They make,a beautiful couple so much love in their eyes, kate looks amazing
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! That hat of Kate's is one of my favorites. Also, I'm a bit sorry to say William seems to be looking more and more like his father these days....
ReplyDeleteShe looked beautiful and it looks like she is wearing this snood/ collar from the same company where she got her hat: http://www.lockhatters.co.uk/Alaskan_Collar-details.aspx
ReplyDeleteOnce again, she looked classy and elegant without upstaging the bride. And I love the brown and pink combination. Looking forward to Tuesday. :)
ReplyDeleteCatherine is beautiful as always, and her coat isn't the same that she wore in Cambridge, If you realize this has two buttons and the other doesn't have.Charlotte, congratulatios for this site.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved the way pink and brown work together. I think the Duchess looks lovely. I also love how long her hair is!!
ReplyDeleteSilvia
The bride and the groom make an awesome couple. Kate looks pretty all bundled up in her coat and fur collar. The wedding is totally fairytale, love how the bride arrived in her chariot,Just like a dream:)Thank You Charlotte for this update, you are the best!XOXO
ReplyDeleteP.S. what is Grimsby?
ReplyDeleteIts a town in England - try Wiki!
DeleteI actually did look at Wiki,
Deleteso I guess I should reword my thoughts. So is the visit to Grimsby to visit the town and people or is a certain event happening there?
Pardon my not understanding but I am not from England, so I'm just curious as to how some things are chosen.
Kate's hair is GORGEOUS!! It makes me want to dye mine back to my natural brown. Her coat looks really cozy.
ReplyDeleteI do not think the Duchess of Cambridge is wearing the Alexander McQueen coat you stated it was. First the pockets are wrong..Kate's are straight across and the McQueen coat is slanted. In addition, Kate's does not have a slit in the back.
ReplyDeleteHi Nicole,
DeleteI didn't state it was the coat Kate wore, it's definitely not. I *suggested* it could be bespoke McQueen and shared a *similar* piece with the same structure on the shoulders.
I apologize if I came off harsh. I wasn't trying to say you were "wrong," I was just trying to help narrow down on the designer of the coat.
DeleteNo need at all Nicole, a lady who was there kindly pointed out the coat was in fact cream so it opens up new possibilities but a baffling piece to ID for sure :)
DeleteOn another note, very sad to hear HM is in hospital, I've been out all day and just heard it.
The coat thing is peculiar, a few times now I have admired coats thinking they were one color to find out I was wrong. Must be the internet.
DeleteAs for Queen Eliizabeth I do hope she is resting and well taken care of. If I could I would love to take her some spring flowers (freesias)
Get well dear Queen we are all ready for another party! (Coranation)
Charlotte - love the post but I disagree with you "surmising" on the coat - Especially as it doesnt look like what she was actually wearing. lets just wait and see.
ReplyDeleteIf fact, the AmQ coat looks rather like the maroon/burgundy coat Catherine wore at Sandringham 2 years ago, made by an unknown designer - maybe she's gone back to them.
Although the coat has buttons there is no sign of buttonholes so Im assuming that there is a "blind covering, the same as with both the Sandriongham coat and the one worn at Cambridge.
I think this is one of her best looks - hair down but looks more sophisticated without the girly curls, alsways loved the hat and pale pink and dark brown is a classical combo.
Well done getting the post out early
As I said it's merely a possibility and if it is McQueen it's most likely bespoke.
DeleteWow, Catherine looks beautiful! The fur collar added such a "rich" touch... She is looking like a million dollars! Beautiful, gorgeous, a real princess.
ReplyDeleteThe bride was really pretty as well! I wish a happy and long-lasting union to the couple!
Enjoy your Sunday, ladies!
See you all next Tuesday :)
I have been looking at all the pictures and I have to laugh. William look's likehe has put a a few pounds. Some men do that when their wives are pregnant. He is looking good though.
ReplyDeleteThey look so happy and both have that baby glow. Nice to see them together and having a good time.
You've done it again, Charlotte - another wonderful post! You have better photos than a lot of online magazines. :o)
ReplyDeleteWilliam & Kate look marvelous. I especially like how cozy yet elegant Kate looks. It's lovely that William & Kate can celebrate with their friends, and so refreshing to seem them looking relaxed and happy.
Looking forward to Tuesday!
Julie
She looked very appropriate but, when you look at the article on the daily mail website, it looks like she is wearing the regular pearls that came with the earrings, not the custom Kiki McDonough ones. Thanks for the post and have a wonderful evening.
ReplyDeletesee looks classy and chick looking forward this Tuesday looks so lovely Charlotte you are the a genius as ever you did a great job in giving us new to duchess
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see William and Kate smiling together!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments everyone!
ReplyDeleteWhy no one mentioned about the dress below the "pink coat"?
ReplyDeleteIs this another re-cycle??
Is pink coat a hint that they are expecting a girl? If she is 5 months along, then they probably know if baby is boy or girl but keeping it a secret joy :o)
ReplyDeleteCharlotte, you did a wonderful job with lovely pics! Thanks for updating! I hope William and Kate had a wonderful time and enjoyed celebrating with friends. The top picture is my favorite. They always look so happy together! William looks dapper in his morning suit and Kate so classy and beautiful! I can't wait for the Grimsby engagement on Tuesday! Have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteCan she get any more stunning. What an absolutely beautiful ensemble. I love the pink and brown combination with the fur collar. So chic.

ReplyDeleteDear Charlotte
ReplyDeleteCongrats to this nice article, usally I am not a follower of things that happen around the royals. First of all a big compliment to you for researching, as you see in the international press nearly 40-50% are telling only half of the truth. I also think it is brilliant to introduce the hotel where the 4 days of wedding celebration took place. Its such a nice hotel worth looking at, especially the huge 5000sqm Spa where Kate enjoyed some relaxing "pre birth wellness" treatments and got her hair done.
I was in Arosa and honestly I only had eyes for her gorgeous shoes, I didn't spend one look at her belly, as like I said above these royal things are not in my normal interest. Getting to know her, her husband and his brother personally was a great honor. The press is right when telling that they respected the wedding celebration and acted very normal like everyone else of the 250 wedding guests. I can tell you that the coat was more like a cream-brownish color (the photos ar looking a bit different from the real color) and that the buttons were "fake" ones. The coat was some kind of wool as it felt very soft. She was much taller than I thought she'd be, with the shoes she is about 1.90m...! Kate has a kind of gorgeous presence when she steps into the room, very classy, relaxed and totally friedly without any "royal" distance in her behavior. I was speechless.
And about William having some pounds more...after the long wedding celebration from thursday onwards until today, I am sure all of the guests will have some more an their ribs =) But he was not chubby at all, again the photos look different from the reality.
This is the best article on the internet about the happening in Arosa - again big compliments to you.
Thank you so much for your kind words and especially for sharing your insights. It sounds like the wedding was a beautiful affair and Arosa looks like a fantastic place for a wedding.
DeleteVery interesting about the coat, I really appreciate it. We've been looking in at nude pinks when in fact the coat was cream.
The Queen is in hospital. Perhaps this is something we can all get behind in wishing her a very speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I just read at CNN that Queen Elizabeth is in the hospital with a stomach virus!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the queen does not have something more serious than a virus. At her age she and Prince Phillip are to be admired how HARD they work and how seriously they take being royal. I could see in the future monarchs retiring like the Pope but hats off to them for the example they set for the in working full time at their age. Best wishes to them as their will be a void when they are not able to work that I fear others will not pick up.
ReplyDeleteI hope Her Majesty will recover very quickly. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!
ReplyDeleteLoving you Ma'am!
She looks radiant and lovely. William looks so happy too. The bride looks gorgeous too thank you for the always great post Charlotte!
ReplyDeleteROBIN INDIANA USA
ReplyDeleteHello everybody, Charlotte thanks for the great post. I just saw on the news the Queen was in the hospital I was shocked! I hope she gets feeling better soon God Save The Queen.

ReplyDeleteI thought Kate looked so lovely and William handsome they make such a cute couple. The sun finally shined today after many gloomy days. I want your weather Pauline and Kate warm. I hope everyone has a wonderful work week. Robin
Robin, come down for a visit! Tomorrow the high is 79 here. My kiddos keep complaining it's too cold here and they are ready for summer. :) I enjoy the cold and am definitely not ready for the blistering Texas heat!
DeleteI hope nothing serious will happen to her majesty and yes men loss weight or being fat when their wife is pregers
ReplyDeleteRobin Indiana USA
ReplyDeleteI just had to say after looking over the pictures again Charlotte you did a fantastic job! Harry looks quite cute love his red hair. I also agree the Duchess looks so pretty when she wears her hair half up.
Thank you very much!
DeleteI don't know if this has been asked or suggested yet, but is there a Repli-Kate of the MaxMara dress from this pat? It is gorgeous! I love the Duchess, and am so happy to see her smiling and feeling well.
ReplyDeleteI will have a good search and post whatever I find in the next Repli-Kate post :)
DeleteOh wow... in the first photo of this post, where Will & Kate are smiling and waving from a balcony, they look just like a King and a Queen... It looks like a picture from the future :) They look so incredibly regal, don't they?
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess's outfit is perfect for the occasion. And I LOVE the hat and the fur on the coat!
Hugs, from a rainy Portugal this week.
