Our Stylists' Canada Looks for Kate (Part One)

We're back with our first batch of submissions from our 'Choose Your Dream Tour Looks for Kate' post (with apologies, I had hoped to have it written up sooner, bit it's been a much busier month than anticipated with various commitments). As with last year's submissions, I have been blown away by the creativity and variety from international readers and thoroughly impressed with the thought and care shown in each and every look put together. Specifically focusing on the upcoming royal tour of Canada offered another layer of interest and it was such fun to see the level of sartorial diplomacy implemented. Its's also been wonderful to hear from readers who don't usually comment, and of course to see so many taking time to compliment one another's elegant looks. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and commented!

Beth W7372 - A silver sequin Jenny Packham gown from the Autumn/Winter 2016 Collection with the Gianvito Rossi Muna wrap around suede sandal with a bracelet heel.

Sonja from Bavaria - Look one is styled for a meeting with the Prime Minister in his office; the lace embroidered Catherine Walker Capri Dress styled with the Auliné Collection red blazer, the Queen's Maple Leaf Brooch, a red maple leaf bag and the Jimmy Choo Ivory Satin Lucy 100 pumps. The evening gala look comprises of the Naeem Khan Cap Sleeve Embroidered Gazar Peplum GownSapphire and Diamond Drop Earrings, the bracelet HM loaned Kate for the state banquet, a silver clutch and Ivanka Trump dark blue satin shoes.

Maria from Germany - We have the colour-block Hobbs Sierra Dress and the Modischer Pastel Blazer accssorised with the Suzannah Floral Leather Headband, a royal blue clutch and Tommy Hilfiger wedges. Maria noted she would love to see Kate wearing more blazers over sheath dresses, adding: "They would be perfect for a day where they visit the sights of a bigger city." For the evening gala look, it's the Monique Lhuilier Embroidered Gown with Draped Top, a burgundy clutch, the maple leaf brooch, and the Jimmy Choo Lucy 100 Pumps.

German Girl - For the Cambridges airport arrival in Canada with the focus on the dress as a tribute to the Canadian flag it's the Ellen Tracy Pleat Ponte Fit & Flare Dress, the Sweeping Curved Saucer Hat by Suzannah, a nude clutch and Rainiza Satin Stilettos in light gold. For the gala look, the Aidan Mattox Embroidered Ballgown, the gold Kotur Clutch, gold pumps, and a leaf design H Samuel bracelet.

Julia from Leominster - Look one for a formal dinner in Vancouver of Victoria features a green gown by Canadian designer Mikael D. with emerald satin Ralph & Russo pumps accessorised with the Queen's jade dogwood set given to her in British Columbia. For a formal event at Butchart Gardens the Ralph & Russo pumps are teamed with a cocktail dress from Lucian Matis' F/W 2016 Collection and a necklace: "Another rare and mysterious Canadian necklace here - either a wedding gift from British Columbia to the queen or possibly from a 1952 visit. It wasn't really the Queen's look but would be perfect for Kate."

Another evening look consists of a bronze off-the-shoulder gown by British Colombian designer Catherine Regehr with the Ralph & Russo pumps in another colourway. Two royal necklace choices - Queen Alexandra's wedding necklace or the Reena Ahluwalia Canoe Canadian Diamond Necklace. Another evening look features a tuxedo suit by Franco Mirabelli, black courts and the Diamond Bear Brooch Kate received during the Canada tour in 2011. And for an engagement with children in Yukon a selection of Canadian designers bring this ensemble together. The Pink Tartan Keyhold Crewneck and Tapered Pants worn with a coat by Ca Va de Soi. The look is accessorised with the Hand Carved Otter Bracelet and Earrings by Harold Alfred and a pendant by Michel de Bellefeuille. The Pink Tartan Jacqui Bag and Sebago Nell Ankle Boots complete the ensemble.

April Girl - A green fitted Dolce & Gabbana dress styled with Kate's L.K. Bennett Floret pumps and Nina clutch and Kate's Kiki green tourmaline and green amethyst oval drop earrings. The daytime look would be completed with an updo. For the evening look, the Mango Sequin Embroidered Dress, Jimmy Choo Vamp sandals, Kate's Kiki lavender amethyst pear and oval drop earrings, and the Monica Vinader Riva Diamond Cuff. Kate's grey clutch and an updo finishes off the look.

Bluefire - A daytime look from a favoured retailer of the Duchess includes the Reiss Truth Merino Wool Sweater and the Adalie Midi Skirt. The ensemble is teamed with the Jimmy Choo army green suede pointy pumps.  Look two, the black stretch viscose Roland Mouret Beaumont Gown with the designer's Palais Royal Clutch and L.K. Bennett Elizabeth suede courts.

Bluefire also put together the Asos Floral Print Tea Dress with a Chloé croossbody bag and Schutz Juliana Heels. We also have the Chi Chi London Decadent Midi Dress styled with a leather shoulder bag and Jimmy Choo Abel Pointy Toe Pumps.

Anonymous - Look one, an Autumn/Winter 2016 design from Erdem styled with the Jimmy Choo Black Shiny Vienna 100 pumps. It's another design from Erdem's AW16 collection for the evening look, with the black lace Jimmy Choo Luna pumps.

Rote - For either an arrival or daytime look, a fitted red dress by DSQUARED2: "It is a Dsquared2 design which is perfect as the brand is run by identical twins Dean and Dan Caten who are Canadians now based in London." The dress is styled with a partial/half updo, the Maple Leaf Brooch, Kate's red Gianvito Rossi pumps, Empress drop earrings, and the Natasha clutch by Emmy London. The evening look features a Greta Constantine dress: "This year’s winner of the Canadian Fashion Awards Womenswear Designer of the Year and aims to offer clothing with a modern sensibility for truly effortless dressing.' It is accessorised with an updo to show off Carole Middleton's blue topaz Robinson Pelham earrings, Jimmy Choo Vamp sandals and Jenny Packham 'Casa' clutch.

Mellie - Vancouverite Mellie is incredibly excited ahead of the royal visit and hopes to see the Cambridges during the tour. She chose Canadian designers beginning with the Pink Tartan Hexagon Scallop Hem Dress and an evening look by Chris Gelinas.

Little Miss Sunshine - The Roland Mouret Thomey Top and Caroline Herrera Silk Pencil Skirt is styled with a cream coat, Gianvito Rossi Ankle Strap Pumps and a statement necklace. "I'd have Kate wear this outfit including the eye-catching statement necklace for a visit to a charity in Canada, for example to talk to inner-city people about mental health." Look two, the pink David Meister One-Shoulder A-line Gown with the Jimmy Choo Alex pumps, Kate's art deco bracelet, and Anya Hindmarch Marano Suede Clutch.

Ros138 - Look one, the Whistles Tie Front Knot Dress, the Reiss Truman Jacket and the LK. Bennett Marcella Pumps accessorised with a pair of Bentley and Skinner pearl and diamond acorn earrings, the Canadian polar bear brooch, a small Mulberry Bayswater bag and a Canada-themed silk hermes scarf. For a black-tie event the Pre-Fall 2016 Roland Mouret Rocher Gown styled with Christian Louboutin Fifi Pumps, a Manolo Blahnik clutch and the Graff Carissa earrings.

Pam from Boston - Chose Erdem for her selections. For a lunch meeting with the Prime Minister the Erdem Betty Dress, designed for the 2015 Green Carpet Challenge and available exclusively at Erdem. The dress is teamed with Kate's trusty nude pumps, and as a nod to Canada, the Jimmy Choo Margot Clutch in red. For a formal evening event; the Erdem Samira Gown styled with the ivory satin Jimmy Choo Louise sandals.

Rachel from Ireland - Styled an evening look with a Black Nude Lace Floor Length Dress by Jovani with the vivid red Rupert Sanderson Elba pumps, a red satin and lace clutch bag, and a statement necklace by Ambaji Shinde.

Sunny - For a relaxed engagement with George and Charlotte, such as a park visit, we have the textured boucle mesh Roland Mouret Sancroft Jacket, the Icon Skinny Jeans by Joe's, and black suede ankle boots from New Look. The gala evening look features the Kay Unger New York Sleeveless Crepe & Printed Chiffon Gown, a YSL clutch, H&M sandals, and Anna Beth Onyx Earrings by Dana Rebecca.

Royalfan - For an evening gala look, a one-shoulder, beaded Jenny Packham gown styled with Gianvito Rossi Portofino Suede Ankle-Strap Sandals, a red McQueen clutch, sparkling statement earrings and an updo to complete the ensemble.

Couch Potato - For the Canada arrival or a day of engagements, the Leina Broughton Clara Coat Dress in berry styled with Kate's Gina Foster 'Seaford' pillbox hat, L.K. Bennett Floret pumps and the Mulbery Continental Clutch. The evening look, the merlot Badgley Mischka Striped Gown with Kate's L.K. Bennett Fern shoes in orange suede, the Queen's Baring Ruby Necklace, and a burgundy Marchesa clutch.

Jo from York - To spend a day with the Prime Minister and his family, Emilio Pucci's lightweight ruffled silk crepe de chine blouse, Dolce & Gabbana cropped tapered pants and floral wedges by the Italian brand. A pair of Bottega Veneta Oxidized silver malachite earrings and an updo complete the look. For a black-tie event, the Alexander McQueen Cotton-Blend Lace Gown with the Gianvito Rossi Brocade Sandals, the Edie Parker Jean Solid Clutch, the Kiki McDonough Smoky Quartz and Lemon Quartz Drop Earrings and an updo.

Louise, London - A gala evening dinner look starring the '70s-inspired Roland Mouret Galaham One Shoulder Silk-Blend Lamé Gown, the Gianvito Rossi Marshal Sandals, the Dolce & Gabbana Vanda small swarovski crystal embellished clutch. For jewels, Louise turned to the royal collection selecting the Delhi Durbar bracelet and earrings.

Chic Designer - "A Stella McCartney outfit for high tea at the beautiful Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria, or the Grand Pacific Hotel, both overlooking Victoria's inner harbor. Tea would follow visits to Butchart Gardens and, with the children, to the wonderful Royal BC Museum near the hotels." Stella McCartney's Goldie Shirt and Kyle Culottes with Kate's Rupert Sanderson Malory Pumps and Annoushka pearls.

Chic Designer also put together an outfit for Princess Charlotte to wear to the same event: the Carters Toddler Girl Geo Lace Dress and Metallic Ribbed Cardigan with the Nina 'Lil Seeley' Mary Jane shoes and white tights from Land's End. Other possibilities for Princess Charlotte include the Sparkle Cable Knit Cardigan from Oshkosh with the 'Classic Short' Uggs. We also see the Sparkle Fair Isle Cardi and Western Chief Firechief 2 Rain Boots. Both looks would be worn with "sturdy pants or jeans like mom's".

Balbina, Austria - A daywear look features the Saint Laurent Double Breasted Velvet Blazer, Roland Mouret Lucanas Wide Leg Pants with Kate's red Gianvito Rossi pumps, a checked Stella McCartney clutch and vintage Tiffany maple leaf earrings. The Duchess would have her hair in a high pony tail. For the evening look, it's the Marchesa Tiered Fil Coupé Organza Gown with the Gianvito Rossi Crisscross Ankle-Wrap Suede Sandals, a Bottega Veneta Clutch and Queen Victoria's Crown Ruby Earrings. "Both outfits have an autumn like feel to me which I find rather fitting for late September in Canada. Bold, but not too bold. I wanted to pick up the red of the canadian flag, but in a very subtle way. Autumn for me is a time of natural and earthy tones."

Bxrlvr - A pleated georgette top from MICHAEL Michael Kors styled with Episode Ankle Length Trousers with gold zip detail, Kate's UFO black pearl earrings, her Catherine Zoraida Spead Your Wings bracelet, and Monsoon Fleur wedges. Another day outfit with dressy pants is the Roland Mouret Lucanas Wide Leg Pants (a popular choice with our readers) and the Hato Gathered Wool-Crepe Top. It's accessorised with Kate's Rupert Sanderson Calice pumps and Monica Vinader Riva Diamond Cluster Drop Earrings.

For a less-formal evening look, the midi-length Temperley London Antila Dress with the neutral DVF Jalen Sandals and Solid Gold Violeta Ruby Diamond Earrings.

SMP - " I'd love to see Kate step out of her comfort zone and wear a jumpsuit. They are very en vogue this year and Kate is tall enough to wear one and show off her long legs." A look at the Roksanda Kenzey Peplum Jumpsuit, burgundy Manolo Blahnik Suede Point-Toe Pumps, Queen Victoria's Pearl Drop earrings and the L.K. Bennett Natalie Raffia Box Clutch. For the evening look, it's the magenta Jenny Packham Silk Evening Embellished Gown with the Casadei Metallic Leather pumps, a Jimmy Choo clutch and the Adorn Katey Pendant.

Amazing looks, I think you'll agree! If there are any errors/inaccuracies in any of them please don't hesitate to let me know. There are many, many more to come in our next write-up. In the meantime, a reminder William and Kate have two packed days of engagements in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly on Thursday and Friday. It should be a very interesting couple of days. :)

  2. Royal Fan, Royal Fan, Royal Fan, can I just let you know how much I LOVE that gown and shoes and earrings. WOW, WOW, WOW
(not so keen on the skull on the purse) BUT THE DRESS IS AN ICONIC STUNNER. WOW
    ONE FOR THE HISTORY PAGES.

Balbina, I LOVE your daywear choice. So classy, without being stuffy. I want that outfit. It is absolutely beautiful.

That Chi Chi London floral dress is a dream, dream, dream, dream. Very, very nice. The little one next to it is also, but a little short for me.

The gold lame' gown is so pretty also and would rock a palace or castle ballroom. In the right setting, with a tan, and the right hairstyle, it would be a show stopper. Oh, AND the right shadeof red lipstick. It is exquisite.

The culottes and blouse with the pearls and blue suede, perfect. Very fresh, beautiful and feminine.

Someone thinking to include designs for Princess Charlotte and Prince George is beyond sweet and the outfits are so CUTE.

I like the Antila dress also. Very, very pretty.

Everyone put together such thoughtful looks for Kate and she could rock them all, but these above are my favorites. Would I love to have every one of those? YES

AMAZING work ya'll. Ya'll did a great Job. What fun. :)

    2. Yes, a different updo, RF, done by a different hairstylist. :)

I think Zara has had some appropriate but sexy updos in the past. Would like to have Kate borrow Zara's hairstylist to get a hairstyle to match your epic gown.

    3. When I saw the Antila dress I knew my search was over! I thought it would be beautiful on Kate and I love the way it moves.

Yippie! Thanks for all the hard work Charlotte of putting this together! I know it takes way longer than some may realize, so thank you very much!

Its so great seeing all the looks. I wont comment on them one by one since I've already done that on most of them but I have to say the attention to detail (not only visually but diplomatically and other things) is so great!

Thank you so much Charlotte for putting up part 1. I can't even begin to imagine how much work this must have been for you with hundreds of styles submitted. And I want to thank you for presenting our choices so very beautifully.
I am utterly impressed with the styles displayed so far. What stunning collection. So much creativity and stylish combinations. And although I like so many, I have to say the two styles but together by Jo from York just blew me away. Superb work Jo. Did you have one key piece which provided you with the initial inspiration? And Louise, London - style perfection. Can't wait to see more.

    1. Thanks, Balbina. I love the jacket you have chosen and the maple leaf earrings, great find. I started looking at D&G as Kate has worn their designs recently. The trousers just jumped out as something that would suit Kate. I originally tried to style them with a gorgeous short floral jacket but couldn't see Kate in it. The sandals are in the same fabric so I went for those and then found the red shirt. McQueen suits Kate so well that I had to look at their collection and I thought the lace gown just has Kate written all over it. As it is a fairly traditional Kate look I tried to add something a little different with the solid clutch.

    2. Kate needs those trousers. She doesn't seem to like slacks at all but these are not slacks. She could "do pants" with these on a whole different level. To me, Balbina's and the other trousers chosen for Kate look like they were made just for her. I SO hope she gets the message. She would look stunning in them.

Thanks Jo for the insides. You know, those sandals would be rather unusual on Kate, but so wonderful with the solid coloured trousers and blouse. It's almost a Queen Maxima outfit translated into Kate style. Would love to see Kate wearing it.

  5. Charlotte, these pictures are wonderful! I love them. You put things together so skillfully, and we have such utterly talented designers. My outfits for Kate and Charlotte look so sweet. One substitution - I chose these boots to go with the red sweater, rather than the pink ones:

Yes, I know they are labeled for boys, but I love the red and black with that cute sweater.

  6. Balbina, upon reflection, I think your choice of gown would be beautiful for Kate to have in her repertoire also. She would look beautiful in that.
She could really wear the tiers and the color would be beautiful on her.

Thanks Anon. I know it wouldn't be an obvious choice for Kate but I kept going back to it. It's quite bold and statement but Kate could carry it off easily. Many of her evening gowns tend to have a lovely girlish vibe and my dream look would have what I describe as a confident grown up woman edge to it. But that's just my style opinion : )

I've been looking forward to seeing this post, and it doesn't disappoint. Thanks so much, Charlotte, for putting it together. So many amazing looks! A lot of thought and creativity went in to them. I like the idea of Kate adding more jackets to her look. I especially like the three-quarter length coat and the whole outfit Little Miss Sunshine put together. I love the Jenny Packham red gown, but there are other stunners here as well. And it was a great idea of Chic Designer's to put together a look for Charlotte. Some very nice nods toward Canada, too, throughout. Kate would look great in many of these outfits. I can't wait to see more!

    Julia,
So those are royal heels. Sometimes we scroll on the results and then see names for curiosity though all end up being viewed with the names in the end. I could not believe how you came up with those shoes. They are unique and of course the emerald.

  10. Thank you, Charlotte, for putting all of this together. Everyone is so talented! Great looks. I can't decide on my favorite, except for the evening gown. I love the red, beaded Jenny Peckham off the shoulder gown. Just gorgeous and I think HRH would look amazing in the outfit. I love that Chic Designer put together a look for little Charlotte! I expect to see some recycles, hopefully from the first Canada tour and maybe some recent outfits, the red dress worn to YoungMinds, maybe? I would expect her to recycle some red outfits, maybe even that brilliant red Packham gown she wore for the state dinner with the Chinese president.

  16. Julia from Leominster31 August 2016 at 05:30

Brilliant outfits everyone and so much perfect attention to detail. I love them. Can only mention highlights in two comments.
Beth - very glamourous look and love more original shoes than courts by day, sandals by night.
Sonja - love that Catherine Walker lace dress - perfect red/white look and would love to see more Khan -- that gazar gown is her colour and has the flow of her wedding dress.
Maria - that blush gown is one I spotted and is simply stunning - since Kate has used American designers, would love to see her discover Lhuillier - perfect for her.
German Girl - That hat -That hat!! and a dress meant for Kate - I want to see that outfit on arrival - it would be so chic.
April Girl - that green dress would pick up her eyes - I would love to see it as cocktail with the queen's green jade or dogwood too. And that pale blue Mango is beautiful!
Blue Fire - would love that black dress for myself - and day and evening is such a coordinated look with favourite designers of Kate.
Anon - Those looks really take the expected Erdem into the stratosphere.
Rote - absolutely amazing use of Canadian designers - both looks - That red dress with the broad neckline would be ideal on Kate - and how spectacular to wear a gown by a Canadian designer of the year.
Melle - I agree - I think Pink Tartan and Kate are a match made in heaven - and hope you get a chance to see Kate.
Sunshine - love your itinerary plan for Kate and a very stylish outfit to wear for it - especially the necklace - and a grand red gown.
Ros - particularly thrilled to see the brooch in use and the Canadian scarf - what a find - and I love the use of the deeper red day outfit.

Now for my second comment- I love all these looks.
Pam - That Erdem gown is a favourite of mine - it would suit Kate so well.
Rachel - Wow, just wow, talk about taking lace to the next level - and those rubies!
Sunny - that black and white gown has the perfect styling for Kate and I especially like your day outfit - adding so much imagination to skinny jeans just by a great jacket.
Royalfan - brilliant as always - I would be hard put to choose between yours and Charlotte's gowns but I love the one shoulder look on Kate - adding a bit of spark to Jenny Packham. It was a great look on her when she wore the silver gown.
Couch Potato - absolutely love that coatdress for Kate - that look is her. And would be glad to see the queen's rubies brought out.
Jo - that Macqueen seems meant for Kate - and would suit Vancouver if it is chilly.
Louise - gold and emeralds - love it! - I really feel emeralds are Kate's gem. And hope the queen starts loans soon. (And I wish I'd found that bag for my cocktail look!)
Chic Designer - I hoped someone would use Stella McCartney and such a great outfit - tea at the Empress - I've never forgotten it in 30 years - but I would have loved that fresh culotte outfit for the playground in London - instead of that grey coat. And blue shoes please! Not neutral - great children's outfits too.
Balbina - what a perfect Canadian look - I'm so glad you found those Tiffany earrings - (They do fantastic dogwood jewellery too.) I agree on liking the subtle Canadian look.
Bxrtur - You've actually put together an outfit with wedges that really works for me - great choices. That Temperley dress seems meant for Kate - she would look so pretty in it.
SMP = Magenta is a colour I think would truly suit Kate - that she hasn't yet tried - I would love that gown for her.
All in all an amazing collection - I've so much enjoyed spending the night looking at them. And Charlotte - thank you for putting this together - a massive endeavour. Wish someone would put together all the designer work we've done in a book on styling for Kate.

I remember, but I thought of it as more a true purple whilst the Packham gown was more what I call magenta - a touch more pink or red in it - Regardless, I loved the Issa and I love the Packham gown - and just for your info - I won't pick favourites - there are too many beautiful choices that would make me happy - but Mr Leo - dragged into looking - chose the Packham magenta. I was surprised - I thought he might go for one of the sexier gowns but he loved that one - so there's a male viewpoint.

    4. Yeah I see where you are coming from with the pink hue and the Issa was really rather purple. Both colours are (would be) so pretty on Kate!

  19. Ladies, absolutely stunning choices. I couldn't pass some of them so easily, sorry though.

    I love Julia's Lucian Matis coctail dress,eyecatching.
Wow for Blufire's Roland Mouret too. I don't know what is with me and black:) Mellie's Chris Galinas. I have never heard some designers, thanks for that.
Pam's Erdem is also stunning, mine was similar to that.
Sunny's Rolan Muret jacket is lovely too.
    Royalfan's red dress is exquisite.
There is something in Louise's gold gown is sooo marvellous.
Ohh I loved Chic Desinger's culottes.:)
Balbina's daywear now that one I could scream for, awesome!
Same for SMP's Roksanda jumpsuit. Wish wish, Kate could go for some slacks.
Thanks for Charlotte, I am sure it took ages to make this post as nice as it is!!!

Sonja- Your two looks are so beautiful but I love the blue dress. I was going to use that one until I saw you had already posted. The dress is very "Kate". It is similar to many of her gala gowns but different enough to not be boring. That shade of blue would be so lovely with you accessories. I am not a huge peplum fan but they work on Kate. The shoes, the bracelet, clutch and earrings also a "Kate" look. She generally doesn't over power us with jewels (which I think is a crime lol) so the bracelet and earrings are very much in her wheelhouse. I like the other outfit you chose as well but I LOVE this one.

Julie from Leominster - Thanks for putting jewels I had never seen before as your picks. Because of you I went down a very sparkly rabbit hole that lasted quite a while. Lol. The dresses you chose are lovely and I like the shorter one the best. It is beautiful and if tailored correctly would be very flattering for Kate. The set of jewelry with the bear is amazing. It would be great on Kate. She has the pizzaz to wear the chunky necklace. I think this tour is the perfect time to gift her with a parure. There are dozens I would choose before it but a lifetime loan for Kate could happen. This would be the right time and place for it to happen. I know, I am a dreamer. Anyway I love your choices! kay so at first I thought you only had two so I commented. So this comment was about the first two. Now the other three!

Love the casual look for a playful day with children. I love the the off the shoulder gown but don't know how well bronse would go with her skin tone. But it probably has great movement and I prefer the jewelry with pearls and diamonds and not the more modern looking one. I have been dying to see her in a tuxedo like Leti wears. My son, in fact, did a look for Kate that had the tux. Lol.

Bluefire - I love the formal gown you chose. Love the little details they add so it isn't just a long, black dress.

Ros138 - Love the blue gown with the shoes that fade and the red in the shoes matches the red in the earrings. It is white beautiful.

Rachel from Ireland - That gown is so Kate in some ways and then I turn my head sideways trying to think what makes me not love it for her. I think it is the face it leaves so much skin bare or the straps don't look like they belong. I am not sure. It could just be that it isn't tailored to fit the woman wearing it? I don't know. But I love the idea of this look. And I love those red shoes.

Thank you so much for your very kind words Courtney!
The blue gown is just stunning, isn't it? I also think it is rather sad for us that Kate doesn't usually go very bold ;) I would freak out if Kate wears this gown ( although I doubt it :( )!

Thanks Courtney - I loved that cocktail dress for Kate too - I would love to see her gifted with the canoe necklace (although it won't happen) - just because it is unique, sporting and Native designed and recalls those lovely photos of William and Kate canoeing soon after their marriage - it represents the commonwealth in a unique way (I had a choice for India too!)
If the queen's jade and/or emerald dogwood is ever going to appear, this would be an excellent time - but I don't anticipate it - still, it's fun to dream - these gifts sitting unworn by any royal lady always make me a bit sad.

  21. I would definitely get Charlotte's red gown and RF's red gown if I were Kate. Those are the two most beautiful red gowns ever. And that Chi Chi London dress is a classic study in feminity.
Who can choose though? There is so much
tender loving care in each outfit. The little outfits for Charlotte are so adorable. Charlotte will have grown so much and changed so much by the next time we see her. George is little boy now, not a toddler, can you believe it?

RoyalFan -- I love how you found a gown that is so very Kate but with a twist. Instead of the normal sleeves or fabric up top you chose a one shoulder look with a waistline she loves to wear with a peplum design and all you did was pick one without peplum. Love where you are going with your choices. I love the clutch and the shoes are great. Those earings are very sparkly. They would work well with the look but I am waiting for something of her own to be pulled out and put into her earring rotation lol. She had to have gotten at least one pair of great diamond earrings at her wedding. But the ones you chose are beautiful as well.

Chic Designer -- I love, love, love what you picked for the littles. Lol. I am so excited they are taking the children.

To anyone who I didn't name it wasn't because I didn't like your looks. I think every look I have seen would work for Kate and I like them all. I am falling asleep or I would have done more.

THank you Charlotte for doing this so quickly! You have your own life and we don't expect you to drop everything to do the blog. Take any time you need. We get it.

  23. The Antila dress looks even more amazing on the model and they have a video also and the movement of the overlay is perfection.

And what can anyone say about Royal fan's ultimate red dress except "Game over". That and Ms. Charlotte's red dazzler. Those dresses, with the winner of last year's dress, are three very beautiful dresses. Totally stand out dresses. I wouldn't want to take them off.

  24. The Roland Mouret Beaumont gown would look very pretty on Kate also. It would look it's very best with a tiara. Not Diana's or the Halo or the Lotus though. A different one. Or just a nice French twist (done right, Amanda) and some burgundy or beige/pink lipstick. And some new diamond chandelier earrings.
va va va voom, that would rock the room, if there was any room left after Royal fans rrred turn-every-head-in-the-room baby-maker sensation.

  25. The Mango Sequined Embroidered gown can
ONLY be appreciated by seeing that on the model. The skirt is open panels over a sheath underlayment. The embroidery and sequins are very pretty and the sheer overlayment on the top is very romantically done. This dress would look gorgeous with a tiara. The photo does not show the beauty at all. You have to see that on the model.

Details count so much and a few I forgot to mention that touched on Kate themes, were Sonja's brilliant maple leaf bag - how perfect is that - Maria's head band - in the very likely event it will be windy - Rote using Carole's earrings with her great Canadian dress and Ros use of the acorn theme - and to round out a great trio of earrings - Royalfan's would be addition to the royal collection - and so many great shoes, I can't mention them all.

Yet more comments - I like the use of a top coat on Little Miss Sunshine's that's a look I would like to see Kate adopt - as coats are going to be likely in B.C. - I wanted to add a dressy white coat for my cocktail look but didn't find just what I wanted on short notice.

Another thing I notice is the absence of tiaras so far - and with that the absence of the queen's order. I don't think we can have the latter without the former - trying to remember. Yet it does seem possible that order could appear (ivory free?) in Canada - as Diana's did in Australia - I can't remember if anyone coming added that to their look -we shall see.

Beth W7372, Sonja from Bavaria and Royalfan - The gala look you’ve proposed shows it was specifically made for Catherine!

Sonja from Bavaria, German Girl, April Girl, Bluefire and Rote - I would love to see the Duchess wear that daytime ensemble you’ve put together.

Sunny, Balbina, Austria and Bxrlvr - Your proposal for a daytime outfit is pure Catherine!

Maria from Germany, German Girl and Bluefire - What a gorgeous gown! The Duchess surely has to add it to her wardrobe!

Julia from Leominster, April Girl and Little Miss Sunshine - I think Catherine would look stunning in that gala outfit …

Pam from Boston - I saw an article some days ago proposing 7 things the Duchess has to pack for her tour to Canada, and the Erdem Samira gown you’ve chosen was one of those things!

Last but not least – A huge Thank You to Charlotte for all the work and love put in this endeavour. You are, and your blog is, truly a treasure!

Sunny, I'm not a lover of skinny jeans per se, but Kate wears them well and if they were styled as here with a great jacket - it would make a stylish outfit -so often (outside of sporting events where they have a place) they seem just a little too casual.

German Girl - I'm loving the Suzannah hat and the blue and gold colour combo for the even look! And what a pretty bracelet!

Julia - this teal/emerald colour would suit Kate soo well and complement her eyes and I love the slit of the gown! Also, it would be so cool to see pink trousers on Kate.

April Girl - I did not know that Mango had such gorgeous evening dresses! Love wour jewelry picks as well!

Bluefire - I love each and every dress you picked, they all look like they could have been made for Kate!

Anon - I think you are right about Kate picking several Erdem pieces for the tour!

Rote - What a beautiful red dress you chose for Kate, perfect!

Mellie - it is so exciting that you might see them! And the blue and white dress is so pretty!

Little Miss Sunshine - love the way you combined pink and black suede! And your daytime outfit is also very stylish, it would be phantastic to see Kate in it!

Ros183 - I love the acorn earrings, they'd be perfect for Kate (considering acorns are in the Middleton's family coat of arms )!

Pam - I think there is a good chance that Kate would wear this gown during the tour, I'm sure she will wear Erdem at one point and it really seems to be her style!

Rachel - the combination of the lace dress and red accessoires is so pretty!

Sunny - This Roland Mouret jacket is so cool! Also, Love your pick for the black tie category, especially the dress and earrings!

Royalfan - this whole look is so 'Kate', I can imagine her wearing it exactly like it is!

Couch Potato - I love the autumnal colour schemes you chose! The coatdress would be phantastic on Kate and I love the orange & merlet colour combo for the gala look!

Jo - love that you styled the black tie look in shades of nude, those earthy warm tones are perfect for autumn!

Louise - that golden gown is stunning and I love the addition of emerald jewels!

Chic Designer - love the idea of high tea in Victoria and how adorable are those baby clothes for charlotte?

Balbina - Those maple leaf earrings are gorgeous! How did you find them?

Brxlvr - I am in love with your casual daytime outfit!

SMP - love the odea of a jumpsuit for Kate! And the Jenny P dress is so pretty!

So far, my favourite looks are by Sonja, German Girl, Julia, April Girl and Couch Potato :)

I'm so looking forward to the next post with so many gorgeous outfits!

      Thanks Sonne : )
Well, it started with the problem that I wasn't able to integrate the Queens Marple leave brooch due to the other choices I had made. It really was only a matter of feeding google the right keywords. I wanted gold earrings to compliment the buttons of the jacket and maple leaves for obvious reasons. The search result delivered exactly what I was looking for.

  62. I love how many looks there are that incorporate Canadian design.
While I love Dsquared2, especially their capsule collections, which have many items that would look great on Kate
    (http://www.dsquared2.com/experience/en/collections/?section=fw16womencapsulecollection and
http://www.dsquared2.com/experience/en/collections/?section=ss16womencapsulecollection), as well as that beautiful red dress that Rote chose, I don't think Kate will wear that line. There was some controversy over Dsquared2's use of the derogatory term for Aborigianal women "squaw" in the name of a collection from 2015 called "dsquaw".

Is squaw not political correct any longer?
Gosh, the politicians are really too sensitive and overdo this whole political correct expressions thing nowadays, aren't they? It is so needless... (no offense to anyone with a different opinion of course!)

April girl, I love the Mango dress you chose! To me, it has kind of a vintage/20s feeling to me, like the downton abbey dresses from season 3 to later seasons ;)

  65. Lost my comment. Thanks for positive feedback, I was in a rush submitting my look but would either have her wear Queens girandole earrings, Grenville chandelier earrings or Monica Vinader earrings and bracelet, thought about necklace but not sure if it would be too much bling and with that neckline. Maybe her Anya Hindmarch black clutch and definitely updo team chignon all the way. Love all the other looks

  66. Also especially loved pink tartan day dress, the Badley Mischka striped dress, the Temperly London midi dress, and Mango dress were just a few of my favorites.

  67. Lovely outfits!!! I am amazed how everyone seems to know Kate's style so well and I am sure she would wear some of those pieces suggested - if she only knew about this :(

Charlotte, I fear I have a problem. My outfit is not among those you put together and I just went back and saw that my comment also did not get published. (I posted it 2 days after you asked us to choose our looks in the dream tour look post; and yes I clicked the load more button so often that everything was loaded). I had never commented here b4 so maybe I did something wrong? Or it did not go through because it was so long? My phone is not the latest updated version though so maybe that's why... I had been on holiday with bad internet over the last weeks so I only noticed now and not earlier... :(

Well, if I post my original comment here once more (I saved it in my notes app), would it still be possible to post it with pictures (in the next post featuring the dream looks)? It was so much fun to pick all the beautiful things!
