The royals took a commercial flight from London earlier today following a busy weekend. The Cambridges attended the wedding of Prince William's friend from Eton Alexander Vaulkhard in Batcombe (sadly no high quality photos have emerged yet) while Prince Harry has been enjoying nights out at a popular London nightclub.
William and Kate, who are styled as The Earl and Countess of Strathearn in Scotland, and Prince Harry are all avid sports fans. The trio were ambassadors for the London 2012 games, which involved supporting and meeting athletes throughout the games. The Commonwealth Games are a very natural fit for the royals allowing them to mix their personal interests with their public roles.
They took in several events beginning with gymnastics.
The trio were in great spirits as they chatted during the games.
The Royal Family have been actively supporting the games. Her Majesty attended the opening ceremony where she officially declared the games open. Other members in attendance include Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Earl and Countess of Wessex; Prince Edward is vice president of the Games.
A look at Glasgow city centre; the games are an important boost to the city.
If he looks familiar (he's not a character one would forget) it may be because the Duchess met Clyde last year when she and William toured the Emirates Arena, much to Kate's amusement. For those with kids, they might enjoy looking at Clyde's page on the games' official website; it includes games and art.
This photo prompted plenty of responses on Twitter with suggestions including "Is Kate tweeting" and "Looking at photos of George".
The royals watching boxing.
It's a sport with plenty of nail-biting moments.
The royals met with volunteers who have worked tirelessly over the past week.
They made time not only to attend as many events as possible but to meet as many people as they could. Below we see them greeting the security team at the games.

Next up, it was time for some hockey. This is one we expect the Duchess particularly enjoyed as she's been a keen player since childhood.
Even the royals wear I.D. tags.
Kate was so warm inside William fanned her with her tag.
Moving on to what Kate wore today. I'm afraid fashion fans may be a little disappointed to see Kate repeated her go-to uniform; a navy blazer, skinny jeans and wedges. Kate wore this look throughout the London 2012 games and for various other sporting events and casual engagements since. It's obviously a look she feels very comfortable in and for someone who tends to put a lot of consideration into her clothing choices, it's a look that requires very little planning and preparation (yes, yes I do agree it would be great to see her change it up).
It appears Kate sported her navy military-style double-breasted blazer by Zara. The Duchess debuted the piece during the royal tour in April. Kate's skinny jeans are also by the popular high street brand. It must have been quite warm for Kate; one would imagine the outfit sans blazer would have been a better fit for the weather.
One noticeable addition to the signature look was a sleeveless blue and white shirt with a high collar. We'll update once it is definitively identified.
Kate accessorised with her Cartier watch and Kiki McDonough Citrine Drop Earrings.
The love-em-or-hate-em Stuart Weitzman Corkswoon Wedges completed the look. The blue suede wedges are available in a large variety of sizes for $398 at Zappos with free shipping.
Kate's hair looked very glossy, healthy and vibrant today.
We'll see the royal trio at the games again tomorrow. There's an event for Kate's patronage, SportsAid, in Glasgow tomorrow (with thanks to @RoyalKateDebate); perhaps she'll attend that too?
