UPDATED: Kate Wears Temperley For Kensington Gardens Walk + Kings Road Sighting, EACH Christmas Cards + More

Duchess Kate was photographed enjoying a leisurely stroll in the beautiful Kensington Gardens today with Lupo (with many thanks to Sandra for sharing her photo).

Sandra said Kate came out of Kensington Palace accompanied by a lady with a stroller.

Have many of you been to Kensington Gardens? It is particularly beautiful at this time of year, filled with autumnal colours. A very relaxing place to enjoy an afternoon stroll.

Kate has been seen walking in Kensington with Lupo a number of times this week. On Monday she brought the adorable puppy with her on a coffee run to Starbucks wearing the same black coat.

The aforementioned black coat is the Temperley Classic Odele Sheepskin Coat. The €2620 coat is made of luxuriously soft sheepskin. It has the suede side of the skin facing out and is lined with fat hared sheepskin allowing a snug and flattering fit.

Temperley

From the product description:

'The cut is feminine and sharp with a nipped in waist. Leather trim and gold metal hardware complete the look. Fabric composition: 100% sheepskin; Trim: 100% leather. 3/4 coat length'.

The 'Odele' is also available in Black Shearling and Brown.

Another great coat for Kate to add to her already fabulous collection. Kate completed her look with flat black boots with tassels, black tights and a black skirt/dress. The Duchess has been wearing quite a lot of black lately. It's a colour that suits her and very appropriate for the season.

UPDATE: Kate was spotted shopping on Kings Road Friday wearing her Temperley 'Odele' coat again with her hair swept up in a ponytail. @chayo_1985 kindly shared his photo of Kate via Instagram. The Duchess also wore black knee high boots.

The always helpful Anna from My Small Obsessions noted Kate carried her Tod's D-Styling Bauletto Medio Leather Tote. The rich grey bag is available for €1,833.

Kate's patronage East Anglia's Children's Hospices have launched a range of Christmas cards for the festive season. A pack of ten cards is just £2.99 and all proceeds go to the charity enabling them to continue providing care and support for life-threatened children and their families.

I think the Christmas bridge cards are particularly eye catching. A nice way to support the charity.

  2. Thanks Charlotte! You're so quick with these posts.

  3. Could the lady with the stroller be Autumn Phillips? I remember Kate (and Lupo!) hung out with Autumn Phillips and her children at a polo match, and those are the only stroller-age children I can think of in the royal family.

    1. It is thought the lady with the stroller is Kate's friend Trini but it's difficult to confirm.

Siddhii- I don't tweet so what happened with the guys yelling her name? You mean her bodyguards pulled their guns on them? How funny, they are lucky they were not shot...lol At least we know they are doing their job this time. To bad they were not doing it in France.

Siddhii- Thank you for sharing the tweet. I think it is funny. I guess we now know that you don't call out to the Duchess when she is out walking the dog or with friends. At least her protection officers were with her.

  7. But somehow the coat looks much bulkier on the website than on Kate. Are we sure they are the same one?

    1. She was seen Monday wearing it and LOOK Magazine had an article featuring the coat. I treated the photos for close ups and it does appear to be the same coat for sure. If we could see it on Kate from the front I expect it would look bulkier.

The boots have tassels and look like they could be from Really Wild, difficult to be sure though.

    2. Great post!

It could be that she wore the Stanley boots from LK Bennett? http://www.lkbennett.com/shoes/boots/SKSTANLEY002LEATHER

    3. I have to correct myself: I think the boots are dark brown and because of this round part at the upper they could be her penelope chilvers boots! The sole of her shoes seem to be more robust like them!

  10. The lady with the stroller could be her protection officer, can't recall the lady's name but she was pregnant before Will and Kate went on their Asian tour? Love the coat and plan to check it out and I'd like to know more about those boots. Are they flat? They look like they might have a slight graduated wedge heel? And thanks for posting these candid shots. I don't think they're intrusive and they give us a nice glimpse into the non-formal life of Kate.

Hi Jemima- The Duchess protection officer just annouced that she was pregnant before they went to Asia. So I doubt it is her with the Duchess.

Absolutely amazed... This coat is very, very beautiful. I wish I could buy it! But we don't have Temperly here and Spring is the current season!
I thought that lady was Autumn Philips!
Thank you for this fun post!

    1. Yes, the coat is truly awesome! Kate has such wonderful taste! I have a serious case of coat envy, but sadly enough I won't be "borrowing" this one, because it's way out of my price range.

Wow you are wonder woman. I just read the blog not to long ago and now this great story and pictures. You are the best. It is nice to see the beautiful Duchess out and about with her friends. And Lupo sure has gotten big. William must be on duty in Wales. To bad we didn't get to see her face and the front of the coat she had on.

Thanks again for this great blog and all your hard work.

interesting that she is wearing a skirt/dress. i wonder if she had/was going to have a meeting where she thought a skirt/dress would be more appropriate than pants?

  17. Kate's coat is absolutely fabulous. Love it!

I have never been to Kensington Gardens, but it's definely on my list of places to visit the next time I'm in London. I adore London's royal parks, but only in the summer. In autumn/winter it's very cold and rainy there :)

Thank you again, Charlotte. Your blog is the first website I visit in the morning, as soon as I turn on my computer. It's always so fun and relaxing in the beggining of a busy day.

I love the pics of the Duchess off-duty, she is more authentically Kate, a gorgeous and elegant Londoner girl.

  22. Just wanted to tell you all that Vero Moda has a *very* similar jacket, the "VIVA FAKE FUR JACKET HC - VNS" in black and tan. It appears to be somewhat shorter and the pockets are different but other than that it is an almost perfect match (though no real sheepskin of course). It is only 100 € and they ship to most Western European countries (including the UK). Shipping is free of charge at the moment.
There aren't many left, only size L in black, but they might get new ones in and the tan jacket is very pretty as well and it is still available in all sizes.
I ordered mine yesterday because I really admired the Odele on Kate (and it is *way* out of my pricerange). Looking forward to it =). I will get back to you once it has arrived and give you my verdict.

(I hope this is not regarded as some kind of frowned-upon advertisement. I was just really excited to find a coat/jacket so similiar to Kate's and wanted to share it with you all.)

Ok I will probably get hung for this but I have noticed lik alot of you that the Duchess has been wearing alot of black lately. So I have been wondering if she is "hiding" something like maybe a baby bump. I noticed looking at the pictures from the St. Andrews dinner that she did look a little fuller in the mid section. And now there is alot in the news about William leaving the RAF and them moving full time to London.

Well we can only hope for an announcement from the palace soon, if there is one. And I am wondering why the Duchess has been in London by herself for the past week. Maybe she is working with the designers on their new home.

I can not wait until next week (24th) to see this beautiful couple out and about together again.

Charlotte are you hearing anything in the UK about William leaving the RAF?

    1. I don't think the talk about William leaving the RAF is a surprise. There was talk when they first married that he would likely stay in the RAF until Kate was adjusted to the schedule and the royal life, then he'd likely give up his post and they would live full-time in London and take up a full-time schedule of royal duties. It makes sense that since he's still in the RAF, he's still on duty in Anglesey while Kate finishes up the apartments at Kensington. With Prince Philip's health seemingly starting to fail and both the Queen and Philip getting older, it also makes sense that William and Kate will be expected to take up more royal duties since they're in the "senior royals" category. As for the baby rumors, I'll believe it when I read the official announcement from Clarence House. As for the black, it's practical and maybe she just likes the color.
