Kate wore her navy Smythe blazer again today.

The Duchess recycled the Stella McCartney Ridley Stretch Cady Dress. The crepe shift dress is available for £515. Kate recently wore it to the 'Aiming High Exhibition. (To see the post on that event please click here)

What do you think of this outfit? Kate is obviously trying to detract attention from what she's wearing ensuring the spotlight is on the athletes and I love the fact she recycles. It would be lovely to see something new too!

  1. It was funny watching Will & Kate take their seats. Since there is no royal box in Court 1, they just had to sit in regular seats. The people in front of them were very shocked to be sitting next to royalty!

  2. I really like the color-block combination of that Stella blue + navy blazer. The Stella dress blue is a lovely color. I love it!

I think it is just normal that she "recycles" her clothes (even though she comes from a well-to-do family she wasn't born into royalty, so it is just NORMAL) however, I think it is just odd that she wears the same item so soon :P
I can't think of another item, but I do recall once it was the same dress just a week after it was first worn.

I would have liked her hair up, every time I see a picture of her hair in a bun or pulled back I lament she doesn't do it more often, plus it adds to making the outfit "different".

    1. I agree with you anonymous. I was expecting her to recycle and the dress with the blazer looks really good. Charlotte, what is a Mexican wave??even I would like to see her hair tied up more often or for her to experiment with new hairstyles. Thanks C for the quick update!:)

    2. Hi, a Mexican wave is where you go along in a line or a loop and the people put their arms in the air one after the other to create a wave of arms! Hope this makes sense :)

  3. I was looking forward to so many sightings of the Duchess during the Olympic Games... but now? I'm getting bored of the look. She wears basically the same thing day in, day out. I understand WHY she is doing it, but she should be wearing simple pieces to highlight more little-known British designers. She's starting to look frumpy in the same blazer three days running.

  4. Love that Kate isn't afraid to wear her clothes again especially so close together! Looking at the daily mail website it appears she has her navy suede clutch with her again and I'm guessing her wedges again as well along with her pearl stud earrings! I wasnt a fan of the blue colour blocking at first but I'm warming to it although i do think the dress looks better without a blazer/jacket etc.

    1. As Karl Lagerfeld said she "has a great silhouette" and looks better thna ost supermodels in clothes. But I'm seeing a same cut, style of dresses. Would love to see her in more brighter colors and no more wedges! I guess they were told that they were loking too distant the lastfew outings and making up for it.

  11. I know this is a fashion blog and I absolutely love it (how does the girl move so fast!) but these appearances by DoC is about the games, not fashion. Upstaging the games in designer wear (of the new variety) would be so stupid but she gets it right. Repeats, appropriate to the occasion but looking beautiful. And the pix of her and William at the Velodrome just made my day. They look so very happy and that's really what we all wanted to see.

    1. Thank you so much for your comment.

To be honest with you this blog is only partly about fashion it's equally about the events, charities, background info and of course the couple so it was just wonderful to see them hugging today.
