Originally built for the Millennium celebrations, the arena has been transformed into an entertainment destination featuring 20,000 seats.

Kate wore her Team GB fleece and pearl drop earrings again today. She was accompanied by her private secretary Rebecca Deacon.

With many thanks to Grace

The Princes are noticeably absent at the Olympics today, as they are playing a charity polo match in Cirencester. The brothers raised money for several of their charities including Centrepoint.

However they will join Kate tonight for the 100m finals. Before that we expect to see Kate watch Team GB handball.

As you all know Kate is a huge tennis fan and will no doubt be delighted to hear Andy Murray beat Roger Federer in the men's singles. Andy is the first British tennis player to win gold in over a hundred years. Wonderful to see Andy with a gold medal, he deserves it.

************

The Daily Mail has carried out a survey of outfits worn by Kate in the past two years and the results have dismissed claims Kate only chooses drab colours.

Daily Mail
Blue has been Kate's 'go to' colour over the past two years, making up 21% of her colour choices.

Daily Mail
Neutral tones are a trademark of Kate's with grey noticeably making up 16% of her choices.

Daily Mail
White is Kate's third most popular choice accounting for 10%.

Daily Mail

Brown and red also account for 10%. Personally I think red is very much Kate's colour and works wonderfully with her skin tone and colouring.
Daily Mail

Purple and Pink make up 12%. The lilac McQueen gown and the rose Jenny Packham look stunning side by side.

Daily Mail
What colours do you think work best for the Duchess?

  1. Hehe you are very welcome :) the tennis match was amazing I'm sure Kate was sad not to be there but there were some fab performances in the gymnastics in which we took silver and bronze :D I read the daily mail article earlier it was lovely to look back over Kate's outfits :) I think Kate has it right with the blue it does suit her best I think she suits red least IMO but even then she still suits it!

  6. Another incredible post. Thank you Charlotte!
I know it`s her go to colour, but blue is my least favourite for the Duchess together with grey. IMHO she looks (even more) gorgeous in bright colours.

  7. Great compilation of the Duchess's outfits. Is this illustration supposed to be exhaustive? I can't help but notice they've omitted the red lace dress she wore to a wedding in the summer of 2011. It was belted at the waist and she paired it with burgundy-coloured patent leather Prada heels.

  8. Another great post! Lovely to see the colour choices all lined up...I prefer the Duchess in strong colours as I think they suit her best and help make her visible in crowds etc. but I don't have a favourite they all look good.

  9. I think she looks lovely in brown, even though it was her least chosen color. :)

  10. I love the first photo of Kate, mouth open and wide-eyed with the entire crowd, completely caught in the moment. I love to see how thoroughly Kate, William, and Harry are taking in the entire Olympic experience. What a privilege!

  11. Looking at all the photos of her, it's difficult to find a look that DOESN'T work on her! I just think her hair looks better up for the more formal evening looks - more sophisticated.

  12. Just added in info on the shoes and a full length photo :)

  13. I think she look prettier with her hair pulled back, bc everywhere she goes it's windy :p I also like her in bright color, they help bring out her youth and I really like how she looks with fascinators. I'm not to crazy about pastel n neutrals, but I have to be honest: there are just a few outfits I hate w a passion- I.e. the yellow dress she wore in Canada- regardless of the color. In the collage, I dislike the gray section but there are quite a few outfits I really like.

  15. Great post, Charlotte. I really enjoy fashion and have had a great time following Kate. She's getting bolder and more sophisticated with some of her fashion choices and she's great fun to watch. Of course, the work she is doing with her charities is and will be much more important than the clothes she wears, but the clothes sure are fun. Always looking forward to see what the Duchess does next.

  16. I liked the compilations!! good job by daily mail! The blues look best on her, second come the reds. Kate should experiment with metallic colors,,,I hope she wows us with her wardrobe in the upcoming international tours,,

  17. Haha I love the graphic! Couldn't help but notice though that some of the stuff they put under "green" is definitely gray :p

Jordyn Wieber (US gymmast) tweeted "Can't believe I just met Princess Kate Middleton! She was in the crowd at the competition and she stood up to talk to us! #honored" very cool!

I think that this blog is the best place to find out day to day info on Catherine. Well done!!Each morning, it's my go to prior to the news...crazy I know but I really enjoy it. Was Kate at the Andy Murray tennis match? I know she saw the Wimbledon match up a month ago, and looked so disappointed so I wondered if she was able to see the gold medal vindication match?!!

    1. Thank you so much Julia. I'm still so amazed people enjoy reading it.

Kate wasn't at the Murray match due to prior Olympic commitments. No doubt she would have loved to have seen Andy win, It was a very special match.

  19. I think she looks best in blue and black...red too, if she's tan. I think she should straighten her hair sometimes too...I'll bet it would look gorgeous! It's so long and thick. Oh well...let her wear whatever she wants however many times she wants to...everyone has their own style and comfort colors :)

  20. Wow amazing collection of her looks! I also enjoy her the most in blues and whites.
