William and Kate's Honeymoon Photos: Discuss/Debate

Hello Duchess Kate readers,
I was incredibly surprised when I logged into Facebook this morning and saw William and Kate on the cover of Woman's Day Australia . The headline read 'World Exclusive Photos: Wills and Kate Our Island Paradise'. The cover shows the couple holding hands during a beach stroll. William wearing shorts and Kate in a back bikini.

PopSugar Australia/Woman's Day

The magazine published over a dozen photos from the couple's honeymoon in the Seychelles in May 2011.

If you wish to see more photos and commentary you can watch a video from Today.

William and Kate chose the idyllic Seychelles for their honeymoon reportedly because of it's classic location which lies in the Indian Ocean between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Equator. The beaches are simply breathtaking.

Wikipedia
The couple stayed in a £4,000 a night villa which included a butler, a private garden, an open air bathroom area with sunken bath and shower and a yoga pavilion. William and Kate reportedly spent their time enjoying the stunning views, beaches and a sunset cruise.

Celebrity Bride Guide
When the couple jetted off on their honeymoon there was an unofficial agreement that media organisations would not send photographers and allow them privacy. A St. James' Palace spokesperson said

'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge considered their honeymoon to be a very private event after their hugely public wedding. For this reason they asked the media to respect their privacy. That is something they continue to do so'.

I wish to state that I do not support these photos, nor agree with the fact they were taken. I posted a small version of the magazine cover but will not be posting the photos. However, I think you should all be able to discuss/debate this and view the photos if you wish. I would love to hear your thoughts so feel free to discuss and debate. (With a special thank you to Emma from Australia and Ilona for taking the time to email me about this story)

    1. Celebrities don't get privacy. Facebook users don't get privacy. Why should these two get it? They deserve even more privilege than their bloodline has already granted them?

    2. They are not "celebrities." Celebrities choose that lifestyle. Royalty doesn't get that privaledge.

  2. Hey Charlotte,

very surprising picture(s). First I thought that it could be a fake picture? But after I watched the video from Today...wow. But why now? And do you think the pictures are really from their honeymoon?

Thanks for your post and kind regards!:-)

  3. Oh my goodness, I never thought we would see these! What a surprise! I agree that they deserve privacy on their honeymoon, but I must admit I will most likely be buying this magazine tomorrow to see the photos. I wonder why it has taken so long for them to surface?

  4. OMG!!!

I've just read that some people heard that Catherine and her sister were gossiping about Mirka Federer namely, that she is too fat...
Sorry Kate, if it is true.. shame on you, Mirka looks much better than you..

Are we sure these are actual photos of the Duchess & her Prince. It is really hard to beleive that some media outlit got on the island without their security team knowing about it.
I thought the island was very small. Charlotte can you really check into this for us fans because it does not sound right.

    1. Yes I agree that it is hard to believe that anyone took these pictures without them knowing. Which is why I think that they were posed - in exchange for privacy for the rest of the trip. Kate and William are very good at playing the media and the public - this could very well be a publicity stunt to garner some sympathy. There is something in the recent spate of articles about them recently that seems to indicate that they may have fallen out of favor with the media and this could be a way to get back some of the goodwill.
      We'll never know, shall we.

    2. Hi Pauline, I thought the same thing about the cover photo of them walking along the beach. However, if you see the video with the other photos of them in the water they definitely are real. Some of the photos are really quite blurry and poor quality, so you can tell just how long the camera lens was. They had to be incredibly sneaky to get those photos.

    3. No way are these pictures taken with the approval of William or Ctherine. They guard their privacy too clsely. Also paps have been taken to court over breach of privacy re pix of catherine so I think this is definitely a carefully planned invasion fo privacy - and it sucks! Thia is entering Diana territory when secret camereas were set up in a gym. Horrible.

  11. I'm disappointed in the magazine for publishing these pictures. I'm also disappointed at the number of people who seem interested in these pics on the WKW page. I sincerely hope that you take this post down. When Kate is at public events, it is one thing to take pictures and talk about her outfits. This, on the other hand, is a complete invasion of privacy that they deserve. When we buy these magazines or look at these photos online, we are expressing our interest and thus fueling more and more bold invasions of privacy. Let's not forget that Diana was killed while trying to get away from the Paparazzi when she was just enjoying some private time. This is the consequence. Poor William must be so sad to see this - especially because he knows that the Paps are relentless, and this will make them even more so, seeing the public interest and money made from these pictures. Please reconsider supporting pictures like these. Thank you.

  13. My goodness. What a massive invasion of privacy. I would be miffed if I were her. On another note: I think these pictures settle once and for all the question of whether her build is "athletic and toned" or just plain emaciated. This is not the body of a healthy person. The pro-anorexic websites are going to have a field day. Hers could be a model for them. I am glad that she seems to have gained a bit and I hope she keeps the weight on, for goodness' sake.

That photo of Kate in the bikini looks photoshoped. Something about the proportions and body type just do not look right.

  20. Well, must have some reason for these photos have been published now. I do not know if William and Kate are caring or not with this publication. It's certainly an invasion of privacy, but judging by the photos, I think each one has its own concept of thinness, I think, of course Catherine was thin in the photos, but not anorexic looking, as some think. I think she has a nice body. If you look at some pictures of a vacation (2006) when she was with William and her family, I think it was in Mustique, where she was white bikini, you will not notice much difference in her body, except the breasts, which these photos of the honeymoon, are smaller.

I have to say that something just doesn't seem right with the cover photo...it really looks weird to me--as if it has been photoshopped. I don't "do" computers so I know nothing about the process but this looks like a bad photoshop job. With that being said, I feel bad that these pictures surfaced. I truly admire the Duchess and think that she and the Duke make an adorable couple; I follow this blog daily. But, there is a definite line that has been crossed here and it makes me sad for them. My honeymoon--while not nearly as extravagant--was an awesomely special, private time for my husband and I and I am sad that their private time has been invaded. Because I feel this way, I didn't look at the other pictures but thank you Charlotte for doing this post. It's a great discussion piece.

I feel like they might have something to do with this pictures, because the shots are quite innocent and none of them are too much. Have you seen the shots of pregnant Di or fully naked Jackie O? All they have to do is read the dirrent blogs, articles and so one to see how much William hates the media. And what he does to proctect his Duchess and their privacy. If so you would not have posted your remarks regarding them being seperated and the Duchess cheating on William. I really had to laugh and then I got pisst. These two are so in love, and there are a lot of pictures to prove it.
And about the Duchess giving Roger's wife death glares, this to is out of line. I don't beleive the Duchess is that type of woman and where would she do something like that. The Duchess has the world at her finger tips.
You need to read and look at all the pictures before you are sucked into this kind of rumors.

      Delete
    3. Jackie, we must be very careful that everything we read or hear about, because you just use a little reason to realize that these stories are completely false. Imagine, you know that your wife is cheating on you with your own brother and you keep talking to him, playing, surfing with him and some friends at the beach ... See, it makes sense, does not it? Another thing, you separate from your wife without the slightest chance of reconciliation and simply go with her to Wimbledon, watching a tennis match, side by side, talking with her jokes, exchange glances, a smile to each other. So there is no reason to believe this kind of rumor. Now, what saddens me and at the same time makes me afraid, is that the marriage of William and Kate end, not even trouble them, but lies created by the media, which shamelessly invent things, distorting facts and perpetuate these lies day after day, and worse, people start to believe these stories and those involved in this matter are defeated by stories invented by the tabloids.

  32. Who's to say it was paparazzi? It's my understanding that they stayed at a resort, likely one with an enormous staff to wait on them. Why not a resort employee or even just some other person there who recognized them? I doubt with the immense secrecy and security which the royal couple enjoyed that a paparazzo would have been able to get onto the island. The magazine cover definitely looks photoshopped but who cares about the rest? I love to see what Kate's wearing and this blog is one of the best for timeliness and attention to detail but frankly, the world has bigger things to worry about than a socialite having her picture taken without her permission.

    1. If the couple had agreed to some photos in exchange for being left in peace, all the newspapers would have had them fourteen months ago.
Secondly the picture on the front of this magazine does not look like them. I cannot believe that anyone who had such pictures would not have sold them much earlier.
Thirdly, the supposed overheard conversation in Wimbledon Royal box on Sunday--who was supposed to have heard and leaked them- the British Prime Minister; the leader of the Scottish Parliament or any of the Kents, as they were closest? Besides which the noise on the courts between play was unbelievable, I suspect the sisters could hardly have heard each other let alone be overheard.

  36. Looong time lurker, first time poster. I would have never expected these photos to surface. Ever. Nevertheless, I spent some time googling around to look at the other photos in the video and would have picked up Women's Day had I been in Australia this week. I feel bad for Will and Kate. I really do. I think the fact that Duchess Kate isn't posting the photos is a nice, noble stance in support of the couple.

But....since they exist anyway, I think I'll take a peek or two at them.

From what i've seen of them--I don't believe Kate's body is photoshopped. I think her body looks sick---in a good way. She is just long and lean, straight up and down. I do believe she shoulders to extend out further than her hips and thighs. She was just born that way. Witch.

    I kid.

Thank you all for your understanding about the photos. I just feel it was their honeymoon, a romantic and private time and this was a shocking invasion of privacy.

The question remains how on earth did the photographer get past security?

    1. Ok, since so many of you are of the opinion that W & K had nothing to do with these photos, let's do the following. If they do indeed file a lawsuit then I (being one of a few who believe that they orchestrated these pictures) will agree that they had nothing to do with these. If, however they DON't file a lawsuit then I think that will make it harder for me to believe that they didn't ! Let's wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. Although going from past instances even filing a lawsuit doesn't really mean that they didn't orchestrate anything. We all know (or maybe Pauline doesn't ?? ) about the famous lawsuit with Neeraj Tanna where Kate tricked him into taking family pictures only to frame him and then file a lawsuit.
These people are as savvy about playing the media as the media are about pursuing them. Let's not get so naive, people.. they are human beings. No god-like qualities about them. Sheesh.

I reaqd where these photos were taken with a long distance lens which would tell me they were take from a boat in the water. This is why they got passed security. I have not seen nor do I want to see these photos. It was their honeymoon for god sake. And I am with the post above about them being photographed in a very "loving" position. If that happened and it was in teh magazine, I think William & his Duchess would really be pisst.
And I do see them taking some type of legal action with the magazine and the person who took these photos.

    3. Pauline California USA10 July 2012 22:40

Even if there is no lawsuit I still think the Duchess & her Prince had nothing to do with these pictures being released.
William hate's the media so why would he let them take pictures of his honeymoon? You do not make sense. William will do everyting in his power to protect his & his Duchess' privacy.
And I don't beleive that the Duchess (Kate at the time) tricked anyone into taking her picture and then filing a lawsuit. When she and her Prince were dating she and William did everything in their power to stay out of the media attention. If I was dating someone I would want to be able to hold his hand or give him a little kiss but these two did nothing of that because they did not want it in the newpapers.
So now that they are married they still do not hold hands in public. And that is not right.

      Delete
    4. given what happened with the tennis pictures, i very much doubt that a lawsuit will be conclusive either way.

    5. how did they get past security?

If the obvious answer to that question doesn't come to mind then the RPO are not doing their jobs properly. Do you know at the end of her life why we saw so many pap pictures of Diana? Because she got rid of her RPO. RPO understand better than a bog standard bodyguard or even an SAS trained bodyguard how to keep the public away from their charges. It's not because they are especially trained in fantasic combat and can fell a tree with a glance, but they are trained to spot and remove anyone who may get too close. And they always take away the pictures from the photographers unless specifically told not to. There is a reason you never get a pap picture of the royal family. It's not as if they don't do anything but hide on their estates. Ditto why pap pics of kate are so rare after the wedding. There is a reason some are allowed and others not.

Open your eyes for heavens sake.
There are facts out there that you seem to want to deny.

I have to say that I find this to be rather disgusting and a very disrespectful intrusion of privacy. I don’t want to see photos of William and Kate during their free time, let alone during their honeymoon, and I didn’t look at the other photos and videos, and won’t do so in the future. They deserve their privacy and should be left alone during private engagements, holidays, etc. We get to see enough photos of them at official and semi-official engagements and it’s sad to see that apparently this isn’t enough. As long as this huge interest, also and especially in their private lives, will be there, sadly I don’t think that the media will stop following them and taking this kind of photos – demand determines supply.

  39. i agree that these pictures should not have been taken! william and catherine deserve full privacy on their honeymoon just like all new married couples.

  40. I'm quite surprised by how worked up everyone is over these photos.

Really? You don't think we should see photos of them in their private time or on private engagements? The Duchess doing the grocery shopping is a private event. Them attending personal friends' weddings is also a private affair. Even the day at Wimbledon was a "private" outing with her sister. But we don't have any problems with oohing and aahing about what she's wearing then.

It comes down to expectations of privacy. Yes, they had an expectation of privacy on their honeymoon, after what was probably promised by the resort - but frankly, they live in the real world - as "celebrities" they also must expect that from time to time, their privacy will be invaded. There were other guests at the resort, staff that have since left, etc...

Shame on Woman's Day? They're just doing their job - feeding photos to people who want to see them.

This was their honeymoon for god sake, so they should have had all the privacy they deserve. Would you want your honemoon all over the internet and in a magazine? I sure would not. And what I have read they were the only one's on that island at the time. That is why they postpond their honeymoon.

I’m one of these people who don’t want to see photos of William and Kate during their free time. You gave some examples and you are right, sometimes it’s not very easy to distinguish between a private and a semi-official engagement, the line between these can be very fine. In my opinion, even if going to a friend’s wedding or attending tennis matches happens in their free time, these are clearly events where there are a lot of other people too, and that are even televised and can be seen by millions of people all over the world. William and Kate know that and they also expect to be seen and photographed when going there. On the other hand, grocery shopping, going for a walk, going to the cinema are really private things for me, and while of course in the grocery store or in the cinema there will be other people too, you don’t have to expect to be photographed there. That’s how I see it and therefore I only comment and look at photos that were taken during official engagements and things like friend’s weddings, tennis/polo matches, etc. I’m aware that others have different opinions and I fully respect that.

Personally, I don't really see the big deal. Plus we got to see a totally new and fun side of Will with his colorful board shorts. Totally made me smile. They look like any other young couple enjoying the beach on their honeymoon - who cares?. It's not like they were kissing or sharing an intimate moment. They were walking on the beach and look great. Wish some of my honeymoon pictures had turned out that nice! ; ) Off to buy really loud board shorts for the hubby - can anyone ID them. haahahahaha...just kidding....

  42. It's really unfortunate that their wishes were disregarded and that their privacy was invaded like that. So disrespectful on a human level. That being said, I did watch the news clip. I think she looks fantastic and healthy and they look happy. And I'm happy for that. Unfortunately, knowing how William values their privacy and seeing the enormous amount of media pressure on her, I worry that this will cause them to withdraw from view even further. I already get the sense that they have adopted a more Business- like approach to their public life and let us see less of who they are on a personal level. A form of self protection that is increasingly justified. Everyone wants a piece of them for their own personal gain. Just my personal opinion.

  43. Do think it was probably an employee on the island. It's strange the pictures took a year to surface. Must be a reason for that, much harder to trace maybe. But they are attractive photos and anything's better than those ghastly fake photos of Kate with rotten teeth. Realize magazine is making a point but still...

  44. It has been interesting to read the views above ~ I think given that a British magazine had to formally apologise to Kate for taking a picture of her at her local supermarket that these photos, rightly, will not go without some form of legal action, especially as it's their honeymoon.

I agree the Palace won't comment but these photos really are a step too far.

  45. I find it odd that people feel sorry for them... What is there to feel sorry for exactly? That they're going to in inherit billions of dollars worth of property, jewelry, etc etc? That they get to travel the world on the dime of taxpayers? And they get all this simply because Will was born into a certain family... Sorry, but paparazzi comes with the territory. There are a lot of people I feel sorry for in this world, Will and Kate, sorry their royal hignesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not on that list.

And he is trying li8ke hell to have a normal life with his beautiful Duchess but the paparazzi will not leave them alone. I hope they file a lawsuit against the guy who took the pictures and the magazine for posting them.

    2. I feel sorry for people who don't think invasion of privacy on a HONEYMOON isn't enough to feel bad for someone. Imagine you were on your honeymoon with a public figure and pictures got leaked of you makeing out or something. Would you not be embarrassed and feel cheated of your private time with your significant other? I feel awful for them that the time that should be for just the two of them instead got shared with the whole dang world. That sort of ruins honeymoon memories. I hope you can find the heart to feel sympathy for them too Anonymous. Also I didn't mean to be rude if it sounded that way.

  46. Regardless of what everyone thinks, the reality is they have no privacy. Whether this invasion of their honeymoon is ok or not, doesn't matter, because this is how things are for them. It's like getting upset when people point out you are short when you are. It the reality. Unless some kind of law gets passed to protect people like William and Kate, things will not change and they cannot expect them to.

    1. What you say is so very true....everyone knows it. But people will still voice their opinons about all kinds of stuff...even knowing their opinon means nothing. And regardless of what Kate & Wills reality is about having NO privacy, and nothing anyone can do about it... We all, including Kate & Will dont have to like it! Nor do we accept it and just lay back and do/say nothing. Voicing ones opinon & complaining is 2nd nature for the human race!! Even tho simple complaing wont fix it... and nobody gives a darn what the next person thinks....We would all blow up and explode if we couldnt complain about someting and voice it!!! And we all know our own opinon is better and more important than anyone elses. As for the exsample used... being a short person?? NO ONE likes being made fun of, And my opinon is that its really rude, bad manners and disrespectful to point out so bluntly another persons feature, that their senitive about. Like buck teeth, or being bald or a "old" lady/man,, or missing a leg, or being mentally handicapped. May not be much one can do about it...BUT NO ONE needs it pointed out...like they dont already know it and then to be made a spectacule??? I dont think so!!...of course, thats just my opinon/complaint, which in reality no one elses cares what I think anyway. On the flip side of all this, if enough people complain and voice their opinon in the right mannner, to the right people, in the right places, whose opinon does count for something, maybe that law would get made sooner rather than later!!

  48. I do feel sorry for them, but they cannot sue the photographer, simply because it's a public place. It is a private beach owned by the hotel, but it's not like the photographer entered their hotel room and took pictures. They were walking on the beach at their risk and they are not the first ones to have their honeymoon pictures released. I understand that it's sad, but there's nothing that they can do. These pictures are out, and even if the law suit worked, what is released on the Internet stays on the Internet.

  49. Why are these photos coming out now? Seems a little suspicious to me bc the mag would have been smarter to publish them a year ago. I think if W&K don't file a lawsuit, we can assume they were in on this and are now using it as a way to bring up Diana's treatment by the press and get a sympathy vote. I know it sounds a little far-fetched but honestly W&K have manipulated the press many times before (pre-engagement mostly) so I don't doubt that they would do something like that, especially now when so many people are calling both W&K lazy on various sites.

Sue I wonder why you and a bunch of other readers think that the Prince & his Duchess have something to do with these pictures coming out now. I completely disagree with you on this matter.
We all know that William hates the media and does all he can to protect his & his Duchess's privacy.
I also disagress with you that they have manipulated the press bdefore they were married. They did everything I could not to be caught by the press. They never held hands nor kissed in public becasue they wanted to keep their relationship as private as they could. And we know how the press hounded the Duchess before she was married and there was nothing the Prince coudl do about it. They tried to give her royal protection and was told that was not right for them to do it. So she was left to go it alone except when she was out with William.
And again I have no idea why they call them lazy. William is a full time RAF pilot and the Duchess is a military wife and does her charity work. People will say she is lazy but we do not know what she does with her charities when she is out of the public eye. So let's just cut them so slack and think about how we woudl feel if we were on our honeymoon and a bunch of pictures were released. I know I would be one pisst off person.

    3. Sorry Pauline, I agree with Sue. Kate absolutely did manipulate the press in the last 10 years. Kate would call photographers to where she was (look up Tanna and others). The Middletons did this for the entire time W&K were together. Lest we forget Kate's "make him jealous" crusade of 2007 when William broke up with her and she made extremely public appearances in full dress and makeup. These were planned, she knew cameras would be there, she knew William would see these pictures. She knew the public would say William is stupid to dump this hot girl. I do think William would actually let the mag publish these because he's been getting a lot of criticism lately

Well I am glad you think my post make you laugh. But I still stand behind by beliefs that the Duchess did not call the media when every she went out. She did not have to, they were always there waiting for that picture. So you are saying that it was ok for William to go out and party and been seen with other girls but it wad not ok for the Duchess (Kate) to go out.
If I was in the Ducehss's shoes I would have done the same thing just to show my ex what he was missing.

As for the beautiful Princess Di, I can not comment on your statement regarding her. I did not get to follow her as much as this royal couple. I worked 80 to 90 hours a week in the legal field so my time was spent else where. I would have loved to been able to follow her but things happen.

  50. 1st of all, if these are pictures of the real Duke & Duchess, I think its disgusting that a magazine would print them. 2nd ...It dosnt make sense to me that they would leak these out!! I saw in here, that one person is sure that they did. But to me, some pieces of the puzzle are missing to make me think that. 3nd, I'm questioning if their real... more like if its really them or those impersonators/ lookalike people!! Its just a odd feeling looking at them that makes me think its NOT really them. 4th,, as for Kates weight. Untill I was 42 yrs old, I ate anything and everything, and as much as I wanted..and never gained weight...struggled to keep weight on. YES.. had all the testing done, all normal...thats just the way I was. Not as tall as Kate, but just as thin or thinner. Now all I have to do is look at pictures of food and I gain 150 lbs. per food item in the picture [lol]!! 2 of my 4 daughters are just like me, and 3 of my grandkids are too. And so are 100's of millions of other people. Dont worry about Kate, she'll be fine..and if she reads any of the gossip about her weight.. she needs to Know, tons of people accept her as she is!! And remember all these comments about her being skinny.. many years from now when she's struggling to keep it off!! Just like models and movie stars, they keep their weight very very thin too.. cuz the camera makes them look heavier. Kates most likely pressured in that direction.. because shes so famous now and millions of printed pictures of her just doing groc. shopping.. I like Kate, I'm a huge supporter of her and William, and also of Pippa and Harry. I know their not a couple, but I like them for themselves...

I've had to ditch a lot of websites because nothing short of "Kate is absolutely perfect and anybody who dares to dislike one hat is a hater" is accepted, and that's why this is now the only Kate website I visit because Charlotte allows us to actually have a reasoned discussion. I like Kate overall but sometimes there are things that I don't personally like, and I really appreciate that I'm allowed to say those things here and not get jumped on.

They are basically in the same category as all celebrities. This is a blog about Kate's clothes, why are we trying to pretend this is some morally outrageous thing to publish some pictures? Its a public beach. Who cares? People with real struggles will not sympathize with millionares complaining about being photographed in a 5-star island resort. Sorry, but there are way bigger problems that W&K should be focused on. For them to complain about such a minor thing would be really selfish.

Of course you would, so why should it be any different for Will & Kate? It's not because someone is a celebrity that it gives ANYONE the right to abuse their privacy. IT'S STILL WRONG WHAT THEY DID. PERIOD!!!!

Rachel- They might be public figures but this was their honeymoon. I feel they should have respected their privacy during that time. And why are the pictures coming out now instead of 15 month ago. I have not seen the pictures nor do I plan on seeing them.

      Delete
    2. I agree, Pauline. They had already let the WHOLE WORLD view their wedding so they asked that their honeymoon be kept private and it's a shame that that request wasn't respected. Yes, they are public figures but they should be able to have some boundaries as well, especially since they are so generous with the time and exposure they give to the press already.

  64. OK, I have a question for all y'all people who are in the know about photography, since my photography skill doesn't go beyond clicking a button on my iPhone:

I've been hearing a lot of people say that it's very obvious these pictures were taken with a super-long lens. How can you guys tell? Like, what in the picture gives that away?

    Thanks!

  65. Hello to you all,

I've just been reading through the recent comments here and just wanted to make a few points.

I'd like to thank you all for participating in this discussion. The title of the post is'discussion/debate' and I'm delighted you all voiced your different opinions.

I do not want anyone to feel they cannot voice their opinion in here, as you all know once the comments are not hateful/trolling they are most welcome here.

While I think everyone likes and respects Kate there may be style choices or news stories you all disagree on and I ask everyone to respect each others opinions.

Should any of you feel an attacking comment was made towards you do not hesitate to let me know.

Comments attacking other posters for having an opinion they may not like will be dealt with accordingly.

My deepest apologies if any of you felt unwelcome or unable to speak your mind. I assure you that is not that the case here. Wouldn't it be a boring world if we all had the same opinion? :)

@Sarah- I guess what I am trying to say that we all should respect the Duchess and to not call her names. I hope you read the post below yours, that is what I don't like. We all have our own opinions about the Duchess but we all should respect her.

And to all the readers here on this great blog that Charlotte works so hard on for us fans, I would like to again say I am very sorry if you think I have been aggressive, which I don't mean to. But that is just the way I write (been in the legal field for a long time and I am used to write aggressively). I will try to tone down my post and I hope the people how visit this blog will respect the Duchess with no name calling. It is great that we all have our own opinions and we can voice them here.
So again to everyone who reads and post here I am very sorry if you think I am aggressive and I will try to tone down my opinions.

  70. If you say, as you do in your article, that you do not support these photos, nor the taking of them, why have you published a copy just like the magazine, albeit a 'small' one......that we can all see perfectly clearly. Either have a principle and stick to it, whatever it costs you......or don't. But don't say you feel one thing and then go ahead and do something that suggests that you don't feel it enough to act on it. That is just trying to look better than everyone else.

    2. I think you have misunderstood me. I know you gave your personal opinion, and that you believe others should see them if they wish. I was merely pointing out that your own opinion, that I respect, is inconsistent with you then publishing a picture yourself. You have said one thing, and done another.

    3. Basically the way I try to write posts is by including all relevant information in a completely unbiased way. As this post is a discussion/debate I finished by giving my own opinion. That's what this discussion is all about though, agreeing and disagreeing, and I thank you for doing it in a respectful manner.

@Anonymous 7/12- I don't understand why you are attacking Charlotte. All she did was to notify us fans that these pictures were being posted. She elected not to post them out of respect for the Duchess & her Prince. And I have not seen these pictures out of respect. To me this is a total invasion of their privacy on their honeymoon.
There has been alot of heated comments on this blog regarding the posting of the photos. We all are entitled to our own opinions regarding them but we do not have the right to attack Charlotte because of her opinion not to posted any of the pictures.

  73. I was just looking at these photos again, and I realized that something had to be photoshopped just by looking at her height. She is no doubt barefoot, yet she is almost as tall a Wills, even though in her tallest heels she its stil shorter than him, so that alone just makes me wonder.

  74. They are very public figures. They shouldn't be surprised. William's mother had the same problems.

  75. Charlotte has one of the best sites on the duchess and that's why we read it. If you don't like it start you're own blog, do it your way and leave her alone.

  76. Well I just don't believe they've never ever known about the pictures - the coverphoto is of such a good quality their security team and or theymust have known about this. Besides that I think it isn't chic as a magazine to buy and publish these photographs -I would never do that. But feeling sorry might be a bit too far; it's more than a year ago, and who knows wether they did allow a photographer to took a picture? For me these matters never are a black-and-white case.

  77. Well now as of Sept. 14th 2012 (the Media) Paparrazi has gone too far, to publish nude photos of Kate, WHY? They have been nice enough to allow the public to view just about everything they do and enjoy. Humm, the public doesnt want them to go into hiding the way they made Princess Di, and finally to her untimely death. Media LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!!!!Di is soooo missed
