The Children's Princess Kate Meets ARK Kids for Outdoor Activities

Duchess Kate visited the Widehorizons Adventure Centre in Kent today where she met children from ARK's King Solomon Academy

The Duchess took part in an outdoor residential course where she helped the children build a campfire and an outdoor shelter. The children are from an inner city school, and many of them would rarely see the countryside so it was a lovely opportunity for them to explore the great outdoors while spending the day with Kate.

Kate volunteers privately with the scouts in Anglesey and has been spotted by locals on several outings with them, including camping trips, so she was well prepared for today. Royal contributer Victoria Arbiter pointed out this engagement ticks all the boxes for Kate.

The Widehorizons Centre believes 'every child should have access to adventure as part of their education and throughout their lives'.

One of the children asked Kate how long she would be on the throne for. She replied 'That's not my job yet' :) When asked about being a princess Kate said

'It's nice and I get to visit lots of countries. William is very sweet and kind and spoils me'.

Last year the couple attended the annual ARK Charity Gala. The event raised £17.2 million for the organisation. I'm sure all of you recall it was the Cambridges' first red carpet event after the royal wedding. Kate wore a beautiful rose Jenny Packham gown.

Today engagement called for casual and comfortable clothing. Kate first wore the £295 Burberry military pocket shirt on July 5 2011 during a visit to Blachford Lake.

So nice to see the beautiful Duchess is not affraid to get down and dirty. The Duchess look's like she is enjoying herself with the children. All I can say is that she will make such a wonderful & loving mother one day. And we can not forget William is going to be a great father.
She look's just as beautiful with make up and with out make up. I does not look like she has mcuh if any on today. And the aoutfit she was wearing looked great on her. The Duchess could put on a paper bag and she would look beautiful.
Now let's hope we see pictures of her and her Prince at the polo match today. I saw pictures from yesterday's match and the Duchess was not there.

And how many of you fans out there think now that the Duchess & her Prince are finished with the julibee stuff and there next enagement is not until July 26th, that they go under the rader until then? I think they both deserve the rest.

Thanks Charlotte for this great blog. I know I tell you alot but just want you to know how much I like this blog. You always have the information first. And it is nice to wake up to this blog.

    1. Love her look although I can't say she's not wearing make up... But love her make up today, not as dark as it sometimes seems to be. She is so stunning!

  4. Love it! Love seeing those events with her...she is doing a perfect job! And looking good-as always! Great post Charlotte!! Thank you!

    Here is another nice video:

  5. But I have to ask: Is the Jeans really from Zara? I thought it is the same Jeans she wore in Canada? From JBrand?

  6. Great blog - really enjoy it. One query - I thought the "modelling" was for Katherine Hooker, not Really Wild and I thought I read that here!

  7. Hello to you all!

I definitely never wrote the modelling was for Katherine Hooker, it's for the Really Wild company :)

The palace released info about the jeans but I completely agree they look like J Brand, I will update.

Polo post coming very soon :)

    1. Senior moment on my part - thank you! :)

    2. You're very welcome :)

What a weekend it's been and Order of the Garter tomorrow too.

  8. Kate looks happy and relaxed :) and her hair also looks set back to its former style. She couldve changed out of those boots for the polo match :-/

  9. Love this look, very nice and comfortable! Kate looks indeed very happy and at ease with the children and she clearly enjoys to be outdoors. It's lovely to see her working with her charities. Her hair also looked stunning today :)

  10. she looks great except the hair clip it's from the early 90's girls especially her age do not wear them anymore you can really see the hair clip properly on a video posted on the telegraph.

I don't know where you live but I have seen people in their 50's wearing hair clips. There is nothing wrong with that. I am sure the Duchess just wanted to keep the hair back. And by the way I have a dughter in law that is in her 30's and she wear's the hair clips too.

  11. These outing looks are so rare. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you!
