Kate's calender is looking quite full particularly for the first weekend of June. As you all know the jubilee celebrations have been months in the planning and the events promise to be unforgettable. On Tuesday May 29th Kate is expected to attend her first royal garden party at Buckingham Palace. The Duchess will join Her Majesty for tea with 8,000 guests in the gardens of the residence. The party is widely considered one of the highlights of the summer season. Unfortunately William will not be joining Kate instead he will be working at RAF valley.
A look at last years party. You can see Her Majesty in the centre wearing yellow. Female guests generally choose summer dresses and jackets with hats or fascinators. The party takes place between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Although not confirmed yet, William and Kate are expected to attend the Epsom Derby on June 2nd. The investec derby day is the first official event in the long weekend of celebrations. The Queen has reportedly said she wants 'a full house' for the event.

Last year Kate wore a lovely Reiss dress and Joseph jacket to the derby, looking forward to seeing what she chooses to wear this year.

Almost every senior member of the Royal family will be taking part, except the Duchess of Kent who has quit public life. The Queen and Prince Philip will be met at Chelsea pier by Charles and Camilla. They will then make a memorable trip on board The Royal Barge, called the Spirit of Chartwell. William, Kate and Harry will already be waiting there.

A red velvet banner decorate with the royal coat of arms made from half a million gold coloured buttons will hang from the stern. It sounds like an absolutely amazing event. Definitely the one I'm most looking forward too. Which event are you most excited about?

ReplyDeleteVery excited for upcoming engagements should be an amazing summer
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments! It is going to be an amazing summer for sure, cannot wait for the jubilee :)
ReplyDeleteI am looking so forward to June 2-5. Four days in a row of Kate's wardrobe will be better than any fashion show.

ReplyDeleteHope we see some of it in the US. I liked yesterday's ER flyby!
ReplyDelete@Aeduko ABC will be covering the Jubilee from June 2-5th on World News & NIghtline. Also on Tuesday June 5th they are covering the concert. Good Morning America also will be covering the Jubilee. Check your local listings for the time in your area. And on May 29th also ABC will air the interview with Prince William & Harry, it will be on 9-11 but again check your local listings.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte, thanks for posting all the dates for the Ducehss & her Prince. I can't wait to see what the beautiful Duchess will be wearing. They have a very busy June, July and then their trip. Thyen I bet once they get home they will go under the rader again. Maybe to try for that beautiful baby they want. We can only hope that sometime around christmas we will hear that they will be a mommy & daddy.
So this year's Ascot Royal Enclosure has "new" dress code for the Royals...I wonder what Kate will be wearing...since no fascinators will be allows but fully qualified hats...
ReplyDeleteI don't think beautiful Duchess wore a fascinator last year. Looking at the picture posted above it is a hat.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte do you know if the Middletons have been invited to attend the concert with the royal family. I just thought maybe they would have since they will be with them for the royal boat parade. I just love the idea that the Queen has thought about the MIddletons and included them along with the rest of the family on such a very special day. And that Prince Charles has someone to look after them to make sure their day is a great one. And I hope Ms. Pippa dresses where she is not the show, this is for the Queen. Maybe someone need's to give her a dress code to follow...lol
What are your feelings regarding Pippa's dress code????
Quite interestingly Her Majesty has invited the Middleton family to sail on the Elizabethan, during the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. It is an absolutely huge honour, I will have information on it in tomorrows post :)
ReplyDeleteI think it was a lovely gesture to Kate. The Middletons are a second family to William and have remained silent and dignified throughout the couple's good and bad times.
As for Pippa's style, I'm not personally a huge fan of it, I tend to favour more classic, timeless pieces and adore Kate's style but Pippa is young and loves to experiment with style. I think her bridesmaid dress was her best look ever. I would definitely imagine Pippa will choose something conservative for the jubilee pageant.
Pippa is only 2 years younger than the Duchess so she need's to grow up and start dressing the part. My own thoughts. just hope that she does not try to out shine the Queen nor her sister. But we all know that Pippa has tried in the past.
ReplyDeleteHoping in tomorrows post you will have information regarding the Middletons joining the royals for the concert. That would be so great and an honor for them. And I am sure William would be real happy to have them with the family.
I am really looking forward to your post tomorrow. Rock on Charlotte.
what happened to the page that had pictures of Kate and Will before they got married?
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great post as always, with lots of helpful and interesting information. I'm very much looking forward to the Garden Party this afternoon and of course to all the Jubilee events, I'm sure it will be some very exciting days. I also found out today that the Jubilee Pageant will even be televised here in Austria, it sounds like an amazing event!
