William and Kate set a date for next week!

The couple will attend their first official public engagement since their arrival home from the Seychelles on June 9th. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be the guests to watch at the 10th Absolute Return for Kids gala dinner to benefit the foundation for princes William and Harry. The event will take place at Perks Field, practically beside Kensington Palace, William's childhood home with Princess Diana.

A recent statement said: 'The Princes' foundation and ARK share a common vision and commitment to transform the lives of disadvantaged children in the U.K. and around the world'. It has been reported that there is a very good chance William will announce a callaboration between his foundation and ARK. I'm looking forward to seeing William and Kate attend this event. It sets the right tone that their first official public engagement is in aid of a charity. The couple are eager to be seen as using their status for good not enjoying the perks of celebrity life, hence choosing to decline an invitation the the state banquet in honour of President Obama. It is also a chance for Kate to prove yet again she is a style icon. I expect she will wear a classic evening gown, possibly by Issa!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge grace the cover of Vanity Fair

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge grace the cover of Vanity Fair. The cover features a never before seen photograph of the newly engaged couple. William and Kate can hardly contain their excitement, both with beaming smiles. The photograph, taken by Mario Testino depicts a young couple very much in love. Shot in St James' Palace, Testino was not nervous about shooting Kate for the first time: 'I felt very confident she would be an easy sitter because of her natural grace'. It includes iconic photos of Princess Diana taken by Testino. In the July issue the article discusses who does the chores and why the couple had to have philadelphia cheese on their honeymoon. When the couple looked at their wedding footage they were beside themselves with giggles. The issue hits stands on June 3 and it certainly sounds like an interesting read. I think Testino captures William and Kate beautifully!

William and Kate's royal tour plans revealed

The official plans of William and Kate's royal tour have been revealed. After months of speculation the itinerary has finally been announced with a few surprises! The couple will get a taste of the Old West when they visit the world's largest and richest rodeo in Calgary. It offers $2 million in prize money to competing cowboys. The rodeo is known as 'The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.' Close friends of the couple are already describing the royal tour as a 'most significant moment'. Their Canadian visit is set as follows........

June 30-July 2     The National Capital Region, Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau Quebec.
July 2                    Montreal
July 3                    Quebec city
July 3-4                Charlotte town, Prince Edward Island
July 4                    Summerside, Prince Edward Island
July 4-6                 Yellowknife, Northwest territories
July 6-8                 Calgary, Alberta

The couple are also said to have requested changing their itinerary in order to order to stay at the Ahwahnee Hotel, the haunted hotel that inspired 'The Shining ' starring Jack Nicholson. Director Stanley Kubrick modelled parts of the interior on the hotel. The 84 year old building in Yosemite National Park in California is one of the most famous landmarks in California. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have provisionally reserved the presidential suite previously used by President John F. Kennedy. This has not been confirmed yet, but William and Kate are very eager for it to happen. The couple are going to downplay interaction with 'Hollywood' and view this as a working visit 'not an opportunity to meet celebrities'.

Prince William will ensure Kate adjusts to Royal life on her terms

Prince William is fiercely protective of his new bride. Not only is he aware of the fact that Kate was not brought up as a Royal and needs time to adjust to her new role and the intense media spotlight she is under but he is naturally afraid of her becoming unhappy as his mother was. Princess Diana was hounded by the press and expected to perform royal duties most days. The 28 year old prince is ensuring their marriage will not be run on the Monarchy's terms.

The couple decided not to attend the state banquet in honour of President Obama in order to set a precedent of formal behavior they are not interested in upholding. A source said 'They did not attend in order not to put a Kate on strain and also to create a helpful precedent. If you don't turn up for the U.S. President's dinner, you don't need to turn up for anyone else's. After the brief Obama meeting they vanished from view once more'. William and Kate are a new generation of royals. Unlike his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie who are being pictured constantly attending functions despite the Queen's wish for them not to participate in full time royal duties, William prefers privacy and normality. I think the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will avoid entering the public arena fully for as long as possible.

Kate: Queen of Wimbledon

Former tennis star and British number one Tim Henman may be on the verge of convincing the Duchess of Cambridge to be the Royal Representative at Wimbledon this year. The tournament is the most famous event in tennis, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are among the contenders this year fighting to win the coveted cup.

Speculation has been rife since the announcement of the engagement that Kate was being lined up for the role. As a major tennis fan, Kate is simply the perfect choice. She has attended matches at Wimbledon and has been described as 'tennis mad'. The stunning 29 year old would be the perfect addition to one of the most famous sporting events held in Britain. It has been suggested that she may present the trophy instead of the Duke of Kent. Princess Diana once executed this role and thoroughly enjoyed it. Prince William is reluctant for his new bride to be in the glare of the spotlight. Tim Henman has been invited in to convince Kate it would be the right choice for her. Henman has close links with the Middleton family. Weeks before the Royal wedding William and Kate were seen playing tennis at Queen's club in West London. A friend said 'Kate adores everything about tennis and would love to have an official role at Wimbledon'. I am a huge tennis fan, with a particular interest in Wimbledon, The tournament being on June 20, I'm hoping to see Kate in the Royal box, Even though his tennis career is over we will be hoping Tim Henman can persuade the Duchess. 'Come on Tim'. :)

Kate plans forty new outfits to dazzle the U.S.

On William and Kate's first public engagement as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate looked relaxed and poised. She is settling into both married life and royal duties with ease. However, William is determined they remain as 'normal' as possible insisting they spend just twenty minutes with the Obamas without television cameras. He also decided they should not attend the state banquet. We would all have loved to see them there, especially for the purpose of seeing what Kate would have worn at her first state dinner.

With preparation underway for the Royal visits to Canada and the U.S. Kate's wardrobe is taking priority. She wants to be conservative enough for Canada yet glamorous enough for California. Wardrobe worries are best tackled at Clarence house where her mother and sister Pippa help her choose the most appropriate clothing. For the Duchess there is more to consider than simply liking the outfit. She will want to present the best of British fashion while giving a nod to local Canadian and American designers. It is estimated she will need forty outfits not allowing for changeable weather. The palace are reported concerned that Kate does not want a lady in waiting, A source said 'On tour you cannot iron all your own clothes, don't have time to unpack, can't hold all the flowers you are handed and, most importantly, need someone to start chatting in a crowded room'. I think it would be ideal if Kate could take Pippa myself. Unfortunately she has just started a new job. A friend of the couple's said Kate's reticence to hire staff has logic to it 'The more you embrace the trappings of royalty, the more people expect from you and you can't reverse it'. Kate is also brushing up on her French as she knows a large proportion of the Canadian population speak it fluently. The first royal tour for the new couple is looking like it's going to be a memorable one!

Mario Testino finally talks about shooting William and Kate

Royal photographer Mario Testino was honoured last night in New York at a gala celebrating his incredible thirty year career. Testino, 56, was Princess Diana's favourite photographer. He is deeply trusted by the Royal family. William and Kate insisted no one else should shoot their official wedding photographs. Academy Award winning actress Kate Winslet gave a speech praising Testino beginning with a joke: 'The two other Kates, Kate Moss and Kate Middleton were unavailable so you'll have to make do with me'. She continued to say he has the ability to 'dispose of a woman's insecurities'.

The world famous photographer spoke about shooting royals in depth: 'For me photographing the Royals is my way of giving back to the country: documenting this tradition and the history. For a Peruvian - apart from Paddington Bear, there are very few of us that can be a part of it. I feel very attached to England'. When asked about shooting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge he said: 'They are a young couple in love. The Duchess looked fabulous and even helped to do her own make up'. However the atmosphere on the shoot was anything but calm: 'Everything is compacted into such a short time because we have to produce these pictures. It's more like me screaming and trying to get everything to go'. Whatever his method is, the official engagement photographs are beautiful. Testino has shot some of the most famous figures in the world. Which lucky star is his favourite? He answers this one with ease: 'I've been asked this many times. It would have to be Princess Diana. It took my career to another level.'

William and Kate wont rush a baby

As William and Kate returned from their honeymoon they faced the vicious rumours that have been circulating in relation to Kate's fertility. Allegedly the Duchess of Cornwall confided in friends claiming health problems during Kate's adolescence have left her with fertility problems. The speculation reached fever pitch recently with eating disorder rumours escalating when William and Kate greeted the Obamas. Admittedly Kate is very slim, however headlines such as 'Scary Skinny Kate' seem a tad exaggerated. Any bride will tell you as wonderful as getting married is, it's also a stressful time.

What are William and Kate's plans regarding starting a family? An extended member of the royal family reportedly said: 'Don't get too excited. Knowing William it won't be any time soon. He's like his father and thinks everything through before he does anything. He will be the same about planning a family. Harry is the opposite. He is much more like his mother, Harry goes with his gut. He will probably have a baby before William.' Now that would be interesting! If William and Kate do not produce an heir someday the throne would go to Harry's eldest male child. Harry has been pictured with actress Charlize Theron recently and sources claim he may rekindle his romance with trainee solicitor Chelsy Davy. The media is placing a huge amount of pressure on William and Kate. William is still working with the RAF and is still only 28 while Kate is adjusting to her role as Duchess of Cambridge.

William and Kate given 'White House Honey' by Obama family

President Obama and his wife Michelle kindly decided to honour William and Kate's wedding by presenting them with a mix of nature and technology as a belated wedding present. As a donation to the Royal wedding charitable gift fund the Obamas gifted laptops to Peace Players International, which aims to unite and inspire young people through basketball.

On a more personal note during their meeting with Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace earlier this week, the Obamas presented them with with seeds and plants from the gardens at Monticello and the South Lawn White House garden. They were contained in a beautifully handcrafted box made from the wood of a magnolia tree that came down on the White House grounds in February 2009. The newlyweds were also given a jar of honey from the official White House beehive. Maybe these gifts will inspire William and Kate to attend the annual Chelsea flower show next year? I think the Obamas obviously, put quite a lot of thought into the gifts. Given the fact they were not invited to the wedding it was a generous gesture.

Is Kate Middleton too thin?

Kate Middleton looked stunning greeting the Obamas in her nude Reiss dress. However, there is no denying that the Duchess of Cambridge is looking slimmer than ever. On her first Royal engagement perhaps she has been feeling nervous about entering public officially and the stress may be contributing to her significant weight loss. I had thought that she would regain some of the weight she lost in the months coming up to her wedding on their luxurious honeymoon in the Seychelles, however this is clearly not the case.

Gym owner, Steve Jordan said: 'Kate looks like she has lost at least fifteen pounds. She's probably consuming no more than fourteen hundred calories a day and her diet would consist of fish and vegetables.' The Duchess has reportedly gone from a size 6 to a 2. The real question remains. Is Kate clinically underweight? From what I can see she looks healthy and extremely toned. If she lost anymore weight I presume we would see protruding bones and a skeletal frame emerge. Kate has always had a healthy, athletic figure and it would be a shame for her to lose it. As a blossoming fashion icon she is obviously cautious about her weight, but she could afford to gain a little. Meanwhile, Kate came sixth in a poll calculating the most searched for styles over the past three months published by mycelebrityfashion.co.uk. Her younger sister Pippa came first! Designers will be eager to have one of the Middleton sisters seen in their clothing!

William and Kate to visit Anne of Green Gables landmarks

The house that inspired 'Anne Of Green Gables'
Children of all have ages have enjoyed reading the bestselling novel 'Anne Of Green Gables'. The novel describes a couple who were sent an orphan girl instead of a boy mistakenly, yet decide to keep her. Author Lee Maud Montgomery used her own childhood experiences in Prince Edward Island for the book. Obviously Kate was one of the many children who adored the novel, insisting on a visit to Prince Edward Island during her state visit to Canada.

A source said, 'It is something of a sentimental journey. The book was Kate's favourite when she was growing up. The details of the Canadian tour are still being worked out but she requested that Prince Edward Island be on their itinerary so she could see the house and places mentioned in the book'. The character has become an iconic image for the island and an excellent source of tourism. Locals are excited about the visit, 'It's good, there are definitely no negatives to this visit'. Royals including Prince Charles and Sophie of Wessex have visited the island while touring Canada. The Duchess of Cambridge who performed her first official public duty as William's wife yesterday greeting the Obamas did a splendid job. She graces the cover of almost every newspaper today and has been hailed a style icon, crashing the Reiss site after wearing their shola camel dress.

Kate proves style doesn't have to be expensive

The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning, greeting President Obama and his wife Michelle at Buckingham Palace this morning. The day after her wedding she left Clarence house in a blue Zara dress. Today she opted for a £175 Reiss 'shola bandage' camel dress. The Reiss website has been inundated with visitors all day with fans of Kate trying to snap up one of the dresses also available in blue.

The 29 year old teamed the dress with LK Bennett black heels and a Maude clutch by Anya Hindmarch Bespoke. Kate looked the picture of elegance proving style doesn't have to be expensive. Dispalying her tan from her honeymoon in the Seychelles, Kate looked strikingly similar to her younger sister Pippa who is never photographed without tan. Her hair was blow dried and worn down. Kate is clearly on her way to becoming a style icon, I would love to see her in Vogue. Her style is different to other royals while still conservative and classic.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge meet President Obama

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed President Obama and his wife Michelle to Buckingham Palace today. The royal couple, just back from their honeymoon, spent twenty minutes in a private meeting with the Obamas. There were no cameras present during the meeting. Perhaps they were discussing William and Kate's trip to the U.S.? Kate looked radiant, freshly tanned from her honeymoon wearing a Reiss 'shola', fitted camel dress. The couple looked extremely relaxed meeting the Obamas appearing very happy and full of smiles. This is the couple's first official duty since getting married and they did excellently. President Obama and Michelle arrived at Buckingham Palace in the presidential limousine just before noon. There, the President was honoured with a 41 gun salute by the Royal Artillery, while the U.S. national anthem was played.

William's friend: "Kate will emulate Diana"

There have been comparisons made between Kate and Diana since the day William began dating the brunette at University. Sadly, most of these comparisons have been negative. Most based on how royal aides hope Kate doesn't display similarities to the Princess of Wales. William's best friend Thomas Van Straubenzee spoke frankly in his first interview since the royal wedding.

'I think she will embrace it. She loves William and is ready to throw herself into it. I think she will use it to do good things'. Speaking at the private viewing of wildlife paintings by Lynne Moore at the Frost and Reed gallery in St. James's he added, 'No one says anything bad about Kate because she doesn't deserve it. The wedding was fantastic.' Van Straubenzee firmly believes Kate is going to do her utmost to attract attention for worthy causes, exactly as Diana did. The Duchess of Cambridge attempted to avoid the media spotlight whilst dating William, however, as his wife, she is fully aware of the expectations her new role brings. Thomas' father, Alex Van Straubenzee describes Kate as 'serene, she has an inner calm'. With the demands and hectic schedule Kate will be facing, those qualities are a necessity!

Kate Middleton plays Prince Charming

At just ten years old, Kate Middleton proved she was ready to be a royal by starring in a school play as 'Prince Charming'. Kate is clearly a natural and shows off her acting skills wonderfully playing a lovesick prince. 'Oh wow, woe, woe is me. I'm in love. I can't eat. I can't sleep, I can't concentrate on everything. My memory is gone'. A friend asked her 'How long has this being going on?' The Duchess of Cambridge displays perfect comic timing replying, 'Has what been going on?' The audience filled with parents of the school children bursts into a fit of laughter. Kate throughly entertained the crowd.

Little did she know in 1992 that she would be marrying 'Prince Charming'. Kate participated as often as she could at St Andrew's prep school in Pangbourne, Berks. She also played 'Eliza Doolittle' and narrated 'Joseph and the  Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat'. Kate's most memorable role as a girl who speaks about marrying a prince. He's all I ever hoped for, rich and handsome, he'll fall in love with me and marry me. Yes, oh yes dear William'. This is quite a massive coincidence and surely very entertaining for the Middleton family and indeed, the royal couple to look back on!

William and Kate donate $1.5 million

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge nominated twenty six good causes to which people could make donations in lieu of wedding gifts. After the engagement Clarence house released this statement 'Having been touched by the goodwill shown to them since the announcement of their engagement, Prince William and Miss Middleton have asked that anyone who might wish to give them a wedding gift consider giving instead to the charitable fund'. The Royal wedding charity fund was a huge success. Who will benefit from the estimated $1.52 million?

Beneficiaries include the Christchurch earthquake appeal and Australia's royal flying doctor service. The couple were keen to display their keen interest in helping deserving charities. In a challenging economic climate donations are needed more than ever. A Philip Treacy hat worn by Prince William's cousin, Princess Beatrice is set to raise over $121,000 for charity. The flesh toned, silk hat strongly resembles a pretzel and caused a media sensation after the wedding. The hat is considered a major faux pas, but that hasn't stopped bidders on e bay attempting to acquire it. The couple who have just returned from their honeymoon are settiling back into married life in Anglesey. William is expected to resume his duties as a search and rescue pilot in the coming days.

Wills and Kate given 'love nut' as honeymoon gift

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been given a rare aphrodisiac as a honeymoon gift. The couple ended their ten day honeymoon in the Seychelles with a special ceremony during which they were handed the 'world's most erotic fruit'- the Coco de mer coconut. The couple have been granted a special licence to bring the 'love nut' back to Britain. The coconut resembles female buttocks. It can weigh up to 30kg.

Given to the couple by foreign minister Jean-Paul Adam on Friday. He handed the love symbol to the couple himself on behalf of Seychelles president James Michel. In the Seychelles the coco de mer is regarded as a fertility symbol. Photos of the couple's villa have also been released. A romantic four poster bed made of driftwood took pride of place in the master bedroom. Kate used the outdoor yoga pavilion. They had a personal chef and butler to ensure they had a relaxing time. Prince William told staff upon leaving the Seychelles, 'I've had the best diving I've ever experienced. It's been amazing. We've had a truly magical time'.

Royal Couple drop Beckham plans

Since David and Victoria Beckham attended the Royal wedding last month, speculation has been rife about William and Kate visiting them during their U.S. trip. The newlyweds had reportedly been asked to stay at the Beckhams' mansion and they had plans to host an extravagant party in their honour. However, palace officials have decided this will not be happening. They believe the royal couple should stick to more stately duties, promoting a series of charities close to the Prince William's heart. Royal insiders were concerned about introducing Kate to the 'Hollywood World'. Diana was friends with a host of U.S. celebrities and had even been in talks with Kevin Costner about starring in a sequel of the bodyguard. A source said, 'It is important that William and Kate set the right tone on what is their first ever official visit abroad as a married couple. It would be an absolute disaster if their time in Los Angeles saw them becoming wrapped up in some kind of Hollywood publicity whirlwind. For this reason it has been decided that the couple will not be visiting David and Victoria Beckham. The Beckham's are said to be 'disappointed' but plan to meet up with William and Kate privately on another occasion.

William and Kate's marriage certificate to be kept a secret

Officials have confirmed that William and Kate's marriage certificate will be kept a secret. A clause in the Marriage Act gives royals the right to exempt themselves from general legal requirements whereby all marriage certificates are available to view at a register office. There has been lengthy discussions between Clarence house and Westminster Abbey. After much thought they have decided it should remain private. The General Register Office confirmed this: 'Certificates are never available after royal weddings. For the same reason, It would not be possible to obtain a copy of the marriage certificate relating to the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana'. There are no records available regarding the Queen's marriage to Prince Philip. The only exception to this rule is the Marriage Certificate of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. The clause in the Marriage Act 1753 states 'Royal marriages would not be invalidated by non-compliance with the statutory formalities'. This law is upheld by the Marriage Act 1949  'Nothing in this act is intended to affect any law or custom relating to the marriages of the Royal family'. The signing of Westminster Abbey's register was the only part of the wedding service conducted in private.

Schwarzenegger scandal disrupts Kate's U.S. plans

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's royal visit to the U.S. has been disrupted after recent revelations about former California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was announced earlier this week that JFK's niece Maria Shriver has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser after discovering that The Terminator star had fathered a child with the family's former housekeeper.

Schwarzenegger was due to show William and Kate improvements the state has made regarding green issues after officially welcoming them to California. Aides are now in crisis talks over fears the scandal could overshadow the couple's visit. The couple are said to be privately concerned, As they have just married they do not want to be associated with a scandal. They are hoping to introduce themselves to the people of California and enjoy seeing all the state has to offer. One royal retainer said 'There is a very big question mark over whether the former governor can be part of the visit now, or if he'd want to be. This clearly isn't going to go away in a few weeks. His presence is now very difficult for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge but, of course, it's a matter for their hosts to make a decision on'. It had been strongly suggested that the couple would stay with Schwarzenegger during their visit, They were also scheduled to attend a Hollywood party with him as their guide. This is quite daunting for Kate. It's her first state visit as Duchess of Cambridge not to mention her first time ever to visit the states. Meanwhile the couple will be thinking about alternatives. It has been reported that numerous celebrities are hoping to spend time with the royal couple. Victoria Beckham has supposedly scheduled her Cesarean section to delivery her fourth child on July 4th, in time for their arrival. Sir Elton John and David Furnish are offering to host an extravagant party in their honour at the luxurious Beverly Wilshire hotel. These plans are always made well in advance to ensure security is in order. The newlyweds have just returned from their 'memorable' honeymoon in the Seychelles and will be relying on their aides to make the appropriate decision prior to their arrival.

William and Kate end Seychelles honeymoon

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have returned from their ten day honeymoon in the Seychelles. It has not been officially confirmed that the couple spent their time at the North Island resort, one of 115 breathtaking islands available in the Seychelles.

St James's palace said, 'They thoroughly enjoyed their time together.' They expressed sincere gratitude to the Seychelles government for helping to make 'the honeymoon such a memorable and special ten days'. The Seychelles coastguard helped to ensure the couple enjoyed as much privacy as possible during their stay. William and Kate invited them ashore to personally thank them for their efforts on the last day of their visit. British high commissioner Patrick Pillay said, 'In a world of so much turmoil they bring a welcome and much needed breath of fresh air with their warmth and humility.' I think this quote sums up our feelings towards the couple. Whether you're a royalist or a republican, regardless of where in the world you're from, we have all been touched by the fairytale romance of William and Kate. I don't think anyone who watched the wedding wasn't moved, not by the beautifully decorated Westminster Abbey or the stunning outfits on display, but by the heart of the story: a young couple in love. This is why William and Kate are so popular and loved by the public. All eyes will be on their trip to Canada and the U.S. next!

Kate's Wedding Weight Loss Secret

The Duchess of Cambridge lost so much weight in the months leading up to her big day that she had to get her wedding ring refitted. All brides strive to look their best and often resort to extreme dieting in order to ensure they look picture perfect in their wedding photos. How did Kate Middleton do it? Reported the Dukan diet!

Created by French doctor Pierre Dukan, the Dukan diet uses the popular formula of high protein, low fat and low cholesterol. Following this plan leads to rapid weight loss until you achieve your 'true weight'. Calculating your true weight involves including a number of factors such as gender, height, age, family history and how easily you put on weight. It claims to work for life if you follow the 'Four step plan'.

Phase one is the attack phase which basically involves surviving on protein and vegetables. Phase two involves the addition of oat bran. Three and four are the maintenance steps. Bread, Cheese and two 'celebratory' meals are permitted. Finally a number of foods including fried chicken are included as part of a varied diet.

Kate apparently heard about this diet from her mother Carole Middleton who is reportedly a huge fan. She credits it for her enviable slim figure at fifty-six. While the results are quick and the diet is straightforward, doctors have warned it may have risks. 'It could potentially lead to diabetes later in life or even hyperlipidemia. These diets do not meet the requirements of the American Heart Association. This diet sounds like the Atkins diet renamed. Anyone considering starting a weight loss regime should always consult with their doctor first.'

Kate looked amazing on her big day and I hope she maintains a healthy weight and is enjoying the fine cuisine the Seychelles has to offer as they come to the end of their honeymoon!

Kate Middleton's Childhood Home Up For Auction

We are fascinated with Kate Middleton's life. The middle class girl who will become our Queen one day. But how did she grow up? What was her house like? Well, Kate grew up in a Victorian red brick semi, which is currently up for auction. It's potential price is just under half a million pounds. However, given the public interest in Kate it may fetch much more than this based on nostalgic value alone. The estate agent who is handling the sale said, 'It looks a bit lopsided doesn't it? Ages ago someone sold off the right hand bit of the house and hid it behind a hedge. But at first a lot of people still think it's just one house which is a bonus in terms of selling it. There's a lovely back garden properly dog-proofed. There's also a pub down the road called the Queen's Head. Now that couldn't be more appropriate, could it?'

The property is located in Bradfield Southend, Berkshire. Mike and Carole Middleton bought it in the late seventies for less than forty thousand pounds. Kate called the four bedroom house home until she was thirteen when she and her family moved to a more lavish home due to the success of family business, Party Pieces. The house, known as 'West View', is charming with a quaint kitchen and pine doors throughout. Just outside the door is the primary school Kate attended and St Andrews church where Kate, Pippa and James were christened.

The owners have rented the house to tenants for the past number of years and are obviously hoping the Kate connection will push the price up. The estate agent says it's a good investment now, but when Kate becomes Queen the value will skyrocket.  Before living in Berkshire the Middleton lived in Amman, Jordan in a high rise block of Villas. Quite different to Buckingham Palace where she will one day reside!

Get Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress..........

When Kate Middleton arrived at Westminster Abbey on her wedding day, no one could have imagine how beautiful her dress would be. Instantly designers around the world hurried to emulate the timeless McQueen design. The £40,000 dress included a delicate lace bodice. Brides all over the world wanted a similar design and now they can have it!

It was announced that Lord & Taylor will be the first retailer to sell three dresses designed by ABS Allen Schwartz, in the style of Kate's and Pippa's dresses. Pippa's figure hugging dress has also garnered huge acclaim. Each dress is not only gorgeous but reasonably priced. These dresses can be purchased online as well as from their Fifth Avenue flagship store. Now every bride can look like a princess on her big day. Kate worked tirelessly with Sarah Burton to create the perfect gown. It has been reported that Anna Wintour wants the Duchess of Cambridge for the cover of U.S. Vogue.

Kate Moss raves about Kate Middleton

The Duchess of Cambridge can finally consider herself a style icon after receiving a seal of approval from Britain's most famous supermodel.

Kate Moss was one of the millions of fans who tuned in to watch the royal wedding. Moss enjoyed the wedding immensely and does not mind losing her status as Britain's most famous 'Kate' to the Duchess. The 37-year-old watched the wedding in the country with loads of friends and kids who were all crying. 'There were tears. We were like, ok you can marry Harry'.

The iconic model adored Kate's look on the day. 'Oh I love her. She was so chic and seamless. And just beautiful. It was just as a royal wedding should be. Kate added, 'I'd quite like to be Lady Kate but I'm happy as I am.' It may happen given her massive contribution to fashion! Kate Middleton will be happy to hear such positive feedback after recent accusations alleging that her wedding dress was a copy and sister Pippa seemingly taking over the limelight. Kate's style has been the subject of debate for years, however, I think she has always had a simplistic, chic look. From her preppy look in college, to beautiful Issa dresses, Kate has been loyal to her signature, classic style and is finally getting credit for it.

Kate Middleton Infertility Rumours

The Royal couple are not even married a month and baby rumours are surrounding them. When interviewed in November, William stated that he and Kate 'Obviously want a family'. However, rumours are surrounding the couple regarding Kate's fertility. According to 'In Touch' magazine, the Duchess Of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles has been telling people that Kate is infertile.

A source close to Camilla said, 'Health complications from Kate's adolescence raised red flags that may have an impact on her ability to conceive.' One wonders, is this just malicious gossip designed to sell even more magazines using Kate and William as a headline. In Touch magazine claim they are using a reliable source. The pressure on Kate to conceive is increasing. If she is not pregnant within nine months she will be defying a two hundred year old tradition. Adoption isn't an open option either as only a biological heir can take the throne. Diana became pregnant within months after marrying Charles as did the Queen. Times have changed dramatically since then and perhaps the couple have other plans first. I'm inclined not to believe this article myself. I expect we will hear William and Kate announce they are expecting in the not too distant future!

Kate Middleton's relatives

Since Prince William started seeing Kate Middleton, much has been made of her middle class background. There has been media fascination with the 29-year-old's roots. Born into a middle class family in Bucklebury, her third cousin is a postman who now has an interesting story to tell. His relative is the new Duchess of Cambridge. Kate's extended family include a fishmonger and a 20-year-old student, who works part-time as a burlesque dancer.

However, Kate's uncle Gary Goldsmith, has been making the headlines recently for all the wrong reasons. The tattooed tycoon is living with a convicted criminal who once made off with £250,000. Julie-Ann Brown plundered the accounts of the car sales firm she worked for. She was spared a jail sentence but continued to indulge in a lavish lifestyle by dating a succession of wealthy men. She now shares Mr. Goldsmith's £1.5 million London home. Goldsmith was exposed two years ago, by a Sunday newspaper after offering cocaine to an undercover reporter at his Ibiza villa. The same location where the recent private photos of the Middletons were taken. Aside from Goldsmith's activities, Kate's family seem close knit and supportive. The Duchess has often described her sister Pippa as her best friend. Alice Goldsmith, Kate's aunt was recently quoted as saying 'I think she's too good for William. She doesn't know what she's letting herself in for.'

Pregnancy speculation

Anyone who has been following the fairytale romance of William and Kate will know that, after their amazing wedding, talk would immediately turn to pregnancy rumours. The couple who are currently honeymooning in the Seychelles, have become bookies favourites with Ladbrokes announcing the odds at 7-1 for them to become parents in February 2012.  If Kate does not become pregnant within nine months, She will be breaking a two hundred year old tradition. When the couple announced their engagement in November 2010, they discussed having a family. William said 'I think we'll take it one step at a time. We'll sort of get over the marriage first and then maybe look at kids. But obviously we want a family so we'll have to start thinking about that'.

William, like his mother is instinctively drawn to babies in his charitable work and when engaging with the public. The couple will most likely be hoping for a boy as their first born, They will be aware of the pressure to produce a male heir. In the past week rumors have been swirling with one headline reading 'pregnant bride'. Buckingham palace has brushed aside those rumors as 'absurd' and 'certainly not true' When the pair do decide to have a child, William and Kate will be make excellent parents along with a strong support system from the Middletons.

William and Kate tour pirate islands on $70,000 a day honeymoon

William and Kate are a modern young couple who appear to be extremely down to earth. However, everyone is entitled to splurge every now and then. What better time to do this than your honeymoon. After months of wedding planning and intense media coverage, the couple are enjoying every second of their ten day getaway. The owner of the North Island in the Seychelles reported the couple are vacationing there. Farhad Vladi said, 'Yes, we rented the island to the British royal family. Prince William and Kate are spending their honeymoon there you'll understand that's all we can say for now.'

The couple are likely to be renting the entire island in order to ensure privacy. Their nightly tab for the eleven villas on North Island would be $70,000. The security detail costs and flights add up to another $100,000. If the couple are staying on another island the cost rises as villas are even more costly on neighbouring islands. A royal family source said security following the death of Osama Bin Laden was the main reason the Seychelles was chosen as the ideal destination. 'The principal reasons for Wills and Kate choosing the Seychelles is because of the level of security they can enjoy there following the Osama Bin Laden take down and unrest elsewhere in the world.' The couple are keen to explore the islands hiring a $3 million yacht for a treasure island tour of the Seychelles. They spent a day cruising former pirate hideouts,  Praslin and La Digue.

A source said 'The area is like something out of Pirates of the Carribean. There are tropical swamps and the most amazing wildlife you can imagine'.  The boat 'Sea Stream' can do top speeds of nearly 64 km/h and comes equpped with its own jet skis and scuba diving gear. The pair also enjoy swimming and are both physically fit. Whatever the newlyweds are doing, I hope they are enjoying themselves before returning to normality and commencing their royal duties!

Princess Diana 'Would Have Been Jealous' of Kate

When William and Kate began dating at University, the press instantly began comparing Diana and Kate. Throughout the engagement and the wedding, William ensured Diana's presence was felt. He gave Kate her engagement ring to keep her spirit alive not only during the preparations for the royal wedding but for their marriage. It is well known how close Diana was to her sons and the close bond they shared.

What would Diana have thought of Kate? One would presume she would be thrilled for William and take Kate in as a daughter. However, according to her royal biographer, Andrew Morton, who recently released William and Catherine: Their Story, her feelings would have been quite different to those of a loving mother-in-law. Morton said, 'Diana loved to be in the limelight and for once she would be in the shadows. By now Diana would have almost been fifty and passing the fashion baton to her daughter-in-law further distancing herself from the spotlight'. Morton also discussed the sensational coverage of Pippa Middleton since racy photos were released. 'William isn't bothered by gossip. He always says he has a lot of baggage. It's not just the Middleton family who have skeletons in their cupboard. The house of Windsor is full of them. You've got the Fergie pictures of having her toes sucked and you've got Prince Charles and his racy taped recorded messages to Camilla'.
It is impossible for anyone to know exactly how Diana would have felt about Kate, however, given her love for her children, I think she would have overlooked competition about popularity and looks in favour of forging a close bond with her eldest son's wife.

William and Kate to visit Calgary where Kate's grandfather trained pilots during World War II

The Duchess of Cambridge will get the opportunity to explore her late grandfather's Alberta connections during the royal visit to Canada next month. On the newlyweds first official trip as husband and wife they are expected to visit Ottawa for Canada Day celebrations on July 1st. Stops will include Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Alberta and Northwest Territories.

It has been reported that it would mean a lot to Kate to visit Calgary. Kate's grandfather, Peter Middleton died in November aged ninety. He served for two years as a Royal Air Force flight instructor during World War II.  Museum liaison Brenda Blair said she's had no confirmation from British or Canadian officials in relation to a stop in Calgary. She stated the history centre would be 'absolutely delighted' should they decide to visit especially given the close links between Kate's grandfather and the training site commemorated by the museum. 'This is a building that her grandfather would have stood in, might have danced, might have played sports in.' Kate's first state visit will also be a poignant one and no doubt she will be looking forward to learning more about her grandfather's time in Canada.

Royal couple to have minimal entourage on Canada and U.S. trip

William and Kate are set to break tradition by not taking a large entourage with them on their trips to Canada and California. A source said, 'Kate is very low maintenance'. She does not plan to have a lady-in-waiting and William prefers to get dressed without the assistance of an aide. Prince Charles famously depended on an aide to squeeze his toothpaste. However, William and Kate are keen to be seen as a 'normal couple'. Kate did her own make up for her wedding and feels confident doing it on tour. According to reports they have cut down the number of staff they are taking with them to ten. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip usually travel with a team of thirty.

Even though Kate will need to change outfits at least twice a day, she may not take a stylist with her. She has notified her hairdresser James Pryce he may be accompanying them. Others expected to travel are William's engagement secretary, Thea Garwood, the couple's press secretary Miguel Head and the couple's senior advisor, former U.S. ambassador Sir David Manning. A source said, 'There's very little Sir David doesn't know, William depends on him and Kate will find him valuable'. It will certainly be very exciting to see the couple tour Canada and California. I expect they shall receive a warm response. It's also Kate's chance to shine in terms of becoming a true style icon!

Andrew Morton releases 'William and Catherine: Their Story'

There has been a vast amount of books published about William and Kate since their wedding. However, this one is slightly different. It is written by Andrew Morton, the British journalist turned royal biographer who shot to fame in 1992 after writing a biography of Princess Diana revealing the truth about her marriage to Prince Charles. The book was a sensation and caused uproar among the monarchy. He also published an unauthorized biography of Angelina Jolie making wild claims about her personal life.
What can he tell us about Kate? Has he made any shocking discoveries? Truthfully, No. Morton says, 'There's very little grit behind the contact lens of her life. She is straight out of Disney central casting, this girl. Don't expect high jinks and headlines from this couple. Their marriage is going to be like the Queen's and Prince Philip's.' Morton feels he has a unique perspective having known Diana well and watched William grow into manhood. He felt Kate's wedding dress summed up what she will bring to the British monarchy referencing Princess Grace and the late Queen Mother. 'The world is ready for a bit of calm in the Windsor house. The fun and games will be around her siblings Pippa and James and Prince Harry.'
Morton has followed the story of William and Kate since their university days, but was surprised at how it unfolded throughout the years.'The relationship was far more up and down, tears and tantrums. They split briefly in 2007 because he thought he could do better, but he realized what he really wanted was stability and steadiness. That's what she gave him'. The book is slightly more than 200 pages long. The cover photo was chosen 100 minutes after the royal wedding had finished. Publisher Michael O Mara has submitted an application to the Guinness World Records for fastest production of a book. 'We did it in seventy two hours, I think that's as fast as it could be done'. The book is now available at Amazon. Check Barnes and Noble coupon codes for this book, too!

Duchess of Cambridge to helps girls become princesses for a day

While William and Kate are enjoying their honeymoon in the idyllic Seychelles, news of Kate's charity work plans have been announced. The Duchess of Cambridge is to become a patron of the charity Starlight. Starlight brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting them once in a lifetime wishes. All of Starlight's activities are there to distract from the pain the children may be feeling as a result of their illnesses. Over 500,000 children benefit from these services annually.

Kate and Prince William have previously attended fundraisers for the charity. Once Kate returns from her honeymoon she will offer girls the chance to be princesses for the day. This will obviously be a dream come true for these children. Last year, Starlight arranged for Prince William to entertain a six year old girl, Lydia, after she said it was her wish to be a princess. Party Pieces, the mail order company owned by Kate's family, has helped organise many of these events. In 2009, children helped by Starlight were asked to put up Christmas decorations in Clarence House, London home of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla.

Kate and Pippa share sibling rivalry

The Duchess of Cambridge and her younger sister, Pippa Middleton, have an enviably close relationship. Throughout the months leading up to the Royal Wedding they were rarely seen without each other. Kate has often described Pippa as her 'best friend'. However, that doesn't mean they are unlike most siblings. The two share a healthy sibling rivalry.

Pippa has always been far more outgoing than Kate, who is shy and reserved. In school, Pippa was more popular and was seen as a 'leader'. A source close to the girls said, 'Pippa was always more liked at school than Kate because she was very outgoing while Kate was more of a loner. This led to a bit of friction between them and Pippa would sometimes take pleasure in winding Kate up. Things got better by the time Kate was 18. She got invited to parties and Pippa would always tag along. As always, all the attention would go to Pippa and she'd compete with her sister over boys. In fact, Kate tended to get dating advice from her little sister.'

Pippa, who is currently in Spain with old flame George Percy, son of the Duke of Northumberland, has been at the centre of a scandal involving topless pictures. Buckingham palace are said to be dismayed by the recent revelations. A close friend said, 'Pippa is a flirt, she wasn't sleeping around but always flirts with the most well connected men'. The girls compete over typical female issues such as weight, hair and looks. Whenever photographed together the pair look extremely close and have been spotted partying and shopping together since Kate began seeing William. The rivalry is most likely lighthearted as Pippa seemed genuinely happy for her older sister when she was able to live out the princess fairytale that every little girl dreams of.

Wills paid £200 for Kate to be his slave

We have all been led to believe that Kate Middleton first captivated Prince William at a University fashion show.It has now been revealed that William became aware of her months before this, when he paid £200 for her at a 'slave' auction, at a Harry Potter themed party. The interesting new insight into the couple's

romance comes from a former housemate of theirs, Laura Warshauer, who is bringing out a song about William and Kate entitled 'To Will and Kate, meet me at exit 109'. It depicts a couple who drank wine out of plastic cups, ate lasagne sitting on the floor and joined in a huge foam fight in the quad. Miss Warshauer revealed the couple had instant chemistry. 'One of my favourite memories was in November of first year and we were invited to a Harry Potter party at this castle. We all got on a big bus to go there and I remember Kate and William dancing together all night. There was a charity auction where you could bid for the person for the day and Wills paid £200 for Kate. She was dressed in school uniform. No one else was winning Kate that night. They already had that connection'. She added, all their friends expected them to end up together, apparently it was obvious William had his eye on Kate from the moment they met. The music video includes several pictures of William and Kate with the lyrics 'Here's to Will and Kate, I remember living in the freshman dorm with you'. She admitted that she and Kate drifted apart like so many university relationships, but described her as an incredibly caring friend who was always there for her when she was upset. The single is out now on iTunes. The question is, will the Duke and Duchess be downloading it?! :)

Duchess of Cambridge accused of wearing copy-cat wedding dress

When Kate Middleton arrived at Westminster Abbey on April 29th, with her father Michael, the world watched as she unveiled her stunning wedding dress,  a timeless creation by Sarah Burton who worked tirelessly with Kate to perfect a gown fit for a future Queen. Brides all over the world have rushed to emulate the look. Bridal designer, Marie McElheron said 'There are a lot of girls trying to use part of Kate's dress in their own designs now. All parts of it: the lace, the high neck, the sleeves - they are all being incorporated into dresses now. It is going to be very popular even though it's a style that will only work on a certain girl, but it's going to be huge'.

With so much hype and media coverage surrounding the gown it has emerged that the goddaughter of Italian prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, has accused Kate of copying her wedding dress. The actress Isabelle Orsini married Belgian Prince Edouard de Ligne two years ago. Ms Orsini's dress was made by the Belgian designer, Gerald Watelet. Are the two dresses identical? Absolutely not. I think there is a vast difference in the two gowns. Both dresses have a high V-neck line with a lace bodice and full skirt. The main similarity is Kate and Isabelle. They are both slim, striking brunettes who complemented their tiaras with veils. However, Kate's dress still bears more similarities to Grace Kelly's wedding gown.

Ms Orsini, 36, told Italian magazine Novella 2000, 'As soon as the Duchess of Cambridge went out to go the church, I thought her dress was a copy of mine. It means Kate Middleton has good taste'. The wedding of Prince Edouard and his bride was a low-key event compared to William and Kate's. The style of these dresses are popular among European royalty. Royal brides are supposed to have their arms covered and it's tradition to have a long train. Kate's dress was clearly from the house of Alexander McQueen. The detailing and structuring was made for Kate.

Pregnancy speculation

William and Kate to receive welcome from the stars in California

It was confirmed on May 5th that Prince William and his wife Kate will be visiting California after their tour of Canada. The date is set for July 8-10th. It will make a nice weekend visit for the couple. Kate has never been to the United States before. There has been intense interest in their plans for this visit, especially from the stars who are eager to have them as guests. William is a close friend of David Beckham. They forged a strong friendship when they worked together on England's failed 2018 World Cup bid. A source said, 'They are always texting each other. People haven't realised quite how close they are. David may ask William to be a godparent, you never know'. It is thought the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be among the first to meet the Beckham's fourth child due this summer.

The couple will also be greeted by former California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Despite his marital separation being highly publicized, he is eager to show the couple a good time. They are expected to attend a Hollywood party. As president of BAFTA, William is keen to promote the British film industry. A provisional itinerary for their trip includes a tour of giant redwood trees in Yosemite National Park, the Big Sur coast and a poverty programme. This week, President Obama told Prince Charles he had been mesmerised by the royal wedding.

The citizens of California will be excited to see the couple wherever they choose to go. Caroline Beteta, president of  the California Travel and Tourism Commission said, 'No matter where they venture in California, the royal visit will create a global postcard for the golden state'. Princess Diana proved a major hit in the U.S. when she visited in the 1980s. The young royals will be hoping for the same welcome. During Queen Elizabeth II's trip in 1983, she visited Los Angeles, Palm springs, San Francisco and San Diego. During an earlier visit, she watched movies being made at Universal studios.

Kate's honeymoon wardrobe

Seychelles
It was confirmed that William and Kate are honeymooning in the Seychelles today. The commander of the Seychelles police force, Ernest Quatre, said detailed security plans were drawn up weeks prior to the couple's arrival. He confirmed a team of specialist local police officers had been deployed to protect the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their sunshine break. The pair are believed to be staying at a villa on a private island. Seychelles has been described as an 'otherworldly archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean'. William and Kate are expected to enjoy complete seclusion and privacy from the press during their honeymoon in the idyllic paradise. The couple snubbed an electric golf car in favour of cycling side by side along the island. A source said 'William wants Kate to be completely relaxed and for it to be just the two of them. They hope to turn off their mobile phones, shut out the modern world and reflect'.

Since there will be no photos of the luxury honeymoon, the question everyone is asking (Every female at least :))
is how does Kate's honeymoon wardrobe look? Days before the wedding, Kate was spotted shopping in established high street chain Warehouse. She purchased three floral dresses and a white blouse, perfect for her honeymoon. Kate's four purchases cost under £225. Kate has stayed true to her love for the high street despite having access to the finest designers in the world. Her choices indicated they were going somewhere hot on their honeymoon. Kate has never been spotted on holiday without a white bikini,  and I expect this will certainly feature in her honeymoon wardrobe as the couple have been pictured swimming together frequently. The style icon loves her black wedges. She was pictured wearing her LK Bennett wedges at her wedding rehearsal and the morning after her wedding while walking with William through the gardens of Clarence house. Along with sunglasses and suncream, these items will create the perfect capsule wardrobe for Kate.

Diana's words for William and Kate

It may be over thirteen years since Diana, Princess of Wales tragically died in a car accident in Paris, however the people's princess is still heavily featured in the press. Keith Allen's documentary 'Unlawful Killing' which premieres in Cannes this week puts forth the idea that "dark forces" were involved in a cover-up relating to the death of the Princess of Wales, her lover Dodi Fayed and driver Henri. The controversial documentary which reportedly includes a photo of  Diana dying has been described as 'disgusting.' As William and Kate settle into their two week honeymoon, they will be glad to escape the coverage of this. When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced their engagement in November, 2010 it was clear Diana would feature in their wedding, despite not being present. William proposed to Kate with  his mother's engagement ring, a blue sapphire with diamonds. 'It's my mother's engagement ring so I thought it was quite nice because obviously she's not going to be around to share any of the fun and excitement of it all - this was my way of keeping her close to it all.' Diana was a fantastic mother who shared a very special bond with her sons.

In November 1995, Princess Diana gave an extraordinarily frank interview with the BBC's Martin Bashir. She spoke candidly about her husband's adultery, suffering from bulimia, and of her extreme feelings of loneliness leading to self harm. Her decision to partake in this interview was seen as a declaration of war by the palace. Diana spoke of going to William's school and explaining her separation from his father, Prince Charles. 'There were three people in the marriage'. She continues to offer William invaluable advice on love 'I put it to William, that, if you find someone you love in life you must hang onto it and look after it, and if you were lucky enough to find someone who loved you then one must protect it.' William obviously remembered his mother's words when deciding to propose to Kate Middleton.

When Charles and Diana divorced, she was stripped of her royal status. William, at fourteen, being fiercely protective of his mother promised to reinstate her status. 'Don't worry Mummy, I will give it back to you one day, when I am King.' Kate has said she would have loved to have met her 'She's obviously an inspirational woman to look up to.'

Prince William whisks Kate away on honeymoon

St James's palace has confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge set off on a delayed honeymoon yesterday. They are believed to have flown out by jet, before being taken by helicopter to a secret location. A spokesman for William said, 'They have left for their honeymoon and the couple have asked for their privacy to be respected'. William's car was reported seen leaving Anglesey, North Wales, yesterday piled high with luggage. Speculation has been rife regarding the honeymoon destination the couple would choose. Kenya was the keen favourite as William proposed to Kate there in October 2010. According to newspapers, William and Kate are staying in a £4,000 a night villa in the Seychelles, in the Indian Ocean. The resort offers almost complete isolation, exactly what the newlyweds are hoping for. It is understood the location is a surprise for Kate as she is unaware of William's plans for their getaway. The public were surprised when the couple left Clarence house via helicopter the morning after their wedding for a weekend away in Britain instead of opting to honeymoon immediately. The press have not disclosed details of the exact location, anyone holidaying in the same location might just be the first to catch a glimpse of William and Kate celebrating their honeymoon!
